The President of Turkmenistan has held a meeting involving a number of Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of institutions and governor of Dashoguz welayat, dedicated to the socio-economic development of the northern region of the country, at the airport in Dashoguz. As noted in the General Program, in order to supply settlements with clean drinking water in Dashoguz, new water purification plants and water supply infrastructure is being constructed, and existing communications reconstructed. Dozens of social and cultural purpose facilities are being erected within the frames of the National program for rural development. Participants have reported on the progress of agricultural activities in the region, preparation of equipment and land for the spring sowing campaign, measures to develop farming. They have provided information relating to the diversification of production capacity of facilities in fuel and energy complex in the northern region of the country. The Head of State ordered to keep matters relating to improving the lives of people under constant attention and to solve their immediate problems in a timely manner. President emphasized the need for timely implementation of measures for land reclamation, preservation of fertility, increasing of crop yields, introduction of scientific research into the sector, creation of modern cattle-breeding complexes and agro-processing enterprises.
