On May 19, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

After exchanging warm greetings, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted with satisfaction the high level of consistently expanding Turkmen-UAE relations based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people conveyed greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and, taking the opportunity, asked to convey warm greetings to the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of the Principality of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

In turn, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, noting the personal contribution of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to expanding cooperation between the two friendly countries, conveyed greetings to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as President Serdar Berdimuhamedov from the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and from the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of the Principality of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Taking the opportunity, Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also addressed best wishes to the head of Turkmenistan.

As noted during the telephone conversation, relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE are invariably based on the principles of mutual respect and support for each other.

In this regard, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan emphasized the existence of great prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic partnership, as clearly demonstrated by the annual increase in trade turnover indicators.

At the same time, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted the positive practice of constructive cooperation with leading UAE companies developed over many years. In this context, emphasis was placed on the economic significance of the recently signed documents. This concerns the Agreement between the State Concern Türkmennebit, PETRONAS Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) and ADNOC Türkmenistan RSC Limited (UAE), as well as the Agreement between the State Concern Türkmengaz, PETRONAS Çarigali (Türkmenistan) Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) and ADNOC Türkmenistan RSC Limited (UAE). Hero Arkadag expressed confidence that these documents will contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial Turkmen-Emirati cooperation.

During the telephone conversation, upcoming joint and other projects in the interests of the peoples of the two friendly countries were discussed.

Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that the important agreements reached are a clear example of the rapidly growing interstate cooperation in various fields, in particular, in the fuel and energy sector, and once again expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

At the end of the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged wishes for good health, success in government activities, as well as peace, well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two friendly countries.
