President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received First Vice-Premier of the Republic of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov, who arrived to Turkmenistan as a head of representative delegation for participation in regular session of Turkmen – Uzbek Commission for trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. Having expressed the gratitude for warm welcome and hospitality in Turkmen land, the guest conveyed warm greetings from President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Head of the State. Having thanked for good wishes, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also passed his best greetings to the leaders and friendly people of neighbouring country and highlighted the willingness of Turkmenistan for expansion of multidimensional interstate dialog. During the meeting, the sides shared the visions of current situation and prospects of accumulation of many-years productive partnership in number of key directions including in fuel and energy, transport and communication spheres, engineering industry, agriculture, education, public health, culture, etc. large opportunities for increase of trade turnover between the countries were also mentioned. Having expressed the delight with steadfast dynamics of the development of Turkmen – Uzbek cooperation, including under largest international organizations and competent regional structures, the Head of the State and his guest confirmed the interest in diversification of beneficial relations. In this regards, the activity of interstate commission in realization of the agreements achieved on different levels was highly appraised. It was highlighted that both countries pay important attention to consolidation of the cooperation in solution of common problems of the region, where saving of the Aral Sea and rational use of water resources are the most important ones. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Akmaljon Kuchkarov took part in the meeting.
