On June 29, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cordially congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity and new successes in responsible government activities. Noting the enormous contribution of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to the consistent strengthening of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye, the Head of Turkiye took the opportunity to extend warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Thanking for the congratulations and good wishes, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that the Republic of Turkiye is one of the close, fraternal states of Turkmenistan. In this regard, the enrichment of interstate relations based on the principles of friendship and brotherhood with new content was noted.

During the telephone conversation, the interlocutors noted the long-term and strategic nature of the dialogue between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye, the development of which is facilitated by the common language, culture and spiritual values of both peoples.

Regular visits by government delegations, as well as consultations and negotiations at the level of departments of the two countries, also make a significant contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation.

In continuation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his personal contribution to the consistent development of relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkiye.
