On August 5, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and the opportunity to discuss important issues of interstate cooperation, the guest emphasized the importance of holding such a large-scale international event in Turkmenistan and, taking the opportunity, conveyed greetings from the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The honored guest also noted that he warmly recalls the friendly visit of Hero Arkadag to Kyrgyzstan in April of this year.
Having cordially welcomed the Prime Minister of the friendly country to the hospitable Turkmen land, the President of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude for accepting the invitation to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held under the motto "Promoting Progress through Partnerships", and also noted that this Forum will contribute to the effective implementation of the new Program of Action for LLDCs adopted in December 2024.
Taking this opportunity, the head of state expressed his best wishes to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are linked by relations based on the principles of brotherhood, good neighborliness and mutual understanding.
The parties noted the effectiveness of interaction within the UN, CIS, Organization of Turkic States and other multilateral formats.
At the same time, great importance is attached to transport and logistics interconnectivity. In the context of the development of global logistics cooperation, the interaction of Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in creating effective and sustainable transport routes is of strategic importance.
An integral part of interstate relations is cultural and humanitarian partnership. Our countries highly value interaction in the fields of science, education and culture. Holding conferences, forums and other joint events contributes to further rapprochement of the peoples of the two countries, preserving the common historical heritage.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Head of the Administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev wished each other good health, prosperity and success in responsible state activities.
