On August 5, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China Wang Yong, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

Having expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him, the guest conveyed warm words of greetings from the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Wang Yong noted the important role of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in strengthening cooperation among participating countries and bringing peoples closer together for the sake of peace and friendship.

Expressing his best wishes to the top leadership of the PRC, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked the guest for the acceptance of the invitation to take part in this Conference, and noted that Wang Yong's participation in such an important event marks the invaluable contribution of the People's Republic of China to achieving sustainable development in landlocked developing countries.

As was emphasized during the meeting, Turkmenistan highly values the established relations with the People's Republic of China.

Noting the importance of high-level meetings for expanding mutual cooperation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that he warmly recalls his meetings with President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.

- We held fruitful negotiations in June of this year in Astana on the sidelines of the second Summit in the format of "Central Asia - China". Our countries are successfully cooperating not only on a bilateral but also on a multilateral basis. As an example, I would like to note the effective interaction within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN, - said the head of state.

As noted, productive trade and economic relations with China have been established. In this regard, the parties noted cooperation in the energy sector as a positive example of mutually beneficial relations.

The President of Turkmenistan noted that support will be provided for the development of effective cooperation in the fields of science, education, healthcare and culture.

In conclusion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the current meeting would give new impetus to the expansion of fruitful cooperation between our countries, and wished Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wang Yong good health, prosperity and great success in his responsible work.
