Today,  President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, at which results of work of military and law enforcement bodies for the January-August period of the current year were considered. The agenda of the meeting also included issues of security and peace in our independent fatherland, strengthening of the material and technical basis of security structures and further perfection of their activity.

Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence B.Gundogdyev who reported on the work carried out for eight months in subordinated structures and practical measures taken to strengthen the combat capacities of the country and increase professionalism of officers of the Armed Forces, was the first to take the floor at the meeting.  He also reported on created possibilities for fruitful activity and improvement of social living conditions of military men, the beginning of the academic year in specialised educational institutions, course of preparation for the solemn military parade in honour of the 34th anniversary of independence of our fatherland.

Having heard the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces underlined that with a view of realisation of provisions of the Military doctrine, which bears a defensive character, it is necessary to continue work on the further strengthening of defensibility of the state and development of Armed Forces at modern level.

Then, Prosecutor General B.Muhamedov reported on the results of the activity for the specified period, undertaken practical steps on supervision of observance of law in all spheres. Besides it, he also reported on results of inspection of appropriate execution of regulatory legal acts as well as active application of digital technologies and advanced methods in the work of structural divisions.

Having heard the report, the head of the state instructed him to continue work on protection of interests of the state and maintenance of the law and order at high level.

Minister of Internal Affairs M.Khydyrov reported on results of the activity for the January-August period of the current year with a view of maintenance of public order, preventive maintenance of offences, perfection of the fire safety service according to requirements of the time, modernisation of the material and technical basis of divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He also reported on the start of the month « Road safety - the peace of our lives» with the beginning of September in the capital and velayats and events held within its framework. 

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew the attention to the importance of work carried out to maintain peaceful and prosperous life of people, to prevent offences, observe requirements of fire safety and traffic regulations and gave him corresponding instructions.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs to ensure a well-organised organization of the events planned within the month « Road safety - the peace of our lives» with the country.

Chairman of the Supreme Court B.Khojamgulyev reported on the results of the activity for the specified period, realised practical steps for successful implementation of the goals defined in the Program of development of the supervised body. He also reported on fulfilment of instructions of the head of Turkmenistan and the work carried out to fulfil legal reports and improve legal proceedings according to time realities.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of realisation of judicial activity aimed at maintenance of legality, law and order in the long term as well as regular increase of professionalism of judges and gave the head of the Supreme Court corresponding instructions to that end.

Within the framework of the meeting, The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country signed the Decree «On appointment and release of judges of courts of Turkmenistan from their posts and assignment of qualifying classes».

Then, Minister of National Security N.Atagarayev reported on the work carried out for eight months, adopted measures for appropriate fulfilment of goals set by The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan perfection of the activity of the department.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Minister of National Security to carry out work to ensure reliable protection of the constitutional system of Turkmenistan and safety of society.

Head of the State Border Service Ya.Nuryev reported on practical measures undertaken for eight months of the current year to maintain inviolability of sacred boundaries of our fatherland, strengthen technical equipment of divisions. Fulfilment of instructions of the President of Turkmenistan on active application of digital system and advanced methods became a separate theme of the report.

Summing up the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country pointed out that the state frontier of Turkmenistan is the border of friendship and good neighbourhood. In that regard, the head of the state underlined the necessity of maintenance of its reliable protection as well as the further strengthening of the material and technical basis of frontier troops, improvement of conditions of service and life of defenders of our fatherland and gave corresponding instructions to the head of the Service.

Further, Minister of Adalat M.Taganov reported on results of the work carried out with the beginning of the year, including the one connected with preparation of proposals on perfection of legal acts. At the same time, he reported on events organized for increase of professionalism of employees of the department, improvement of legal awareness of the population and rendering of legal aid to citizens.

Having heard the report, the head of Turkmenistan noted that it is necessary to continue work on legal security of the country, preparation of regulatory legal acts, their state registration and systematization. In that connection, he gave concrete instructions to the Minister of Adalat. 

Then, Chairman of the State Customs Service M.Khudaykuliyev reported on results of the activity of the supervised department for the January-August period of the current year, undertaken practical steps with a view of appropriate monitoring over the regulations of moving of the goods through customs border. Results of the work carried out within realisation of the Program of development of the department became a separate theme of the report.

Summing up the report, the head of Turkmenistan emphasised the importance of effective control over observance of established rules, legal acts at customs points and gave the head of Service a number of instructions.

Chairman of the State Migration Service A.Sazakov reported on results of the activity for eight months of the current year, complex measures adopted for the specified period for successful implementation of goals planned in the corresponding Program of development. He also reported on the course of modernisation of the material and technical basis of the department at the expense of introduction of digital system and best practices in this sphere.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew the attention of the head of the Service to the importance of control over appropriate observance of migration legislation and gave a number of concrete instructions.

Then, addressing members of the State Security Council, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country underlined the necessity of due preparation for celebration of the 34th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. In the given context, he instructed Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence B.Gundogdyev to ensure a high level of conduction of the solemn military parade.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country underlined that according to the Military doctrine of our Fatherland, which bears a defensive character, measures are taken with a view of maintenance of military security and integrity of our independent, permanently neutral fatherland. A special significance is given to consolidation of defensibility of our sovereign state, improvement of social living conditions of servicemen and members of their families, the head of Turkmenistan continued his speech and stated that the work in the given sphere will be continued.

At the meeting of the State Security Council, a number of other issues, on which corresponding decisions were made, were also considered.

At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health and great successes in their responsible service for peace and happy life of our people.
