President of Turkmenistan made a working visit to Ahal welayat, marking the key aspects of the development of the region. At the construction site of gas to gasoline plant in Ovadandepe, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the specialists of the State Concern “Turkmengaz” working on this important subject. Construction of the plant started in 2014. The company annually plans to process 1 billion 785 million cubic meters of natural gas, and will be able to produce 600 thousand tons of gasoline, the opening of this facility will create over a thousand new jobs. As stated by the President of the country, in the future we plan to start the construction of another series of similar enterprises and social facilities. During an interview with the specialists, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov answered their questions. The current conversation, as well as other recent meetings with the Head of State in the region, took place during the campaign taking place in the country ahead of the elections of the President of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen leader outlined the issues of further improvement of social and living conditions of the population, noting the planned annual increase of wages, pensions, state benefits and scholarships. The focus remains on the improvement of the socio-economic level of life in rural areas. Thus, in the period from 2017 to 2023, Ahal welayat will need to construct about fifty schools, the same number of kindergartens, hospitals and a number of houses of culture, reconstructing existing medical facilities. The region has good prospects for the construction of new health centers. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the transformation in the agricultural sector of Akhal welayat will continue to focus on the development of breeding and seed production and food processing industry. The Head of State noted that the construction of the collectors of “Altyn Asyr” Turkmen lake will continue. The region will need to build a large poultry farm, milk processing plant, vegetable oil factory, to open a horticultural farm. The Head of State stressed the need to provide for the launch of a new line on Kel-ata cement plant, the construction of enterprise for the production of ornamental stones. To provide electricity to new industrial complexes it is advisable to build a transmission line between the Ahal and Balkan welayats. Significant investments are provided to the development of transport infrastructure, construction of highways between Turkmenbashi and Farap and Ashgabat and Dashoguz, said the Head of State. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov touched upon the matters of support of entrepreneurship, enhancing the role of private sector in the economy. Entrepreneurs construct housing, industrial buildings, work in agriculture, create jobs. As an example the President of Turkmenistan has mentioned a number of companies organized by the private business in the regions and the capital, as well as projects carried out outside the country. During the meeting, President of Turkmenistan was asked regarding his versatile interests, as well as those things which he now works on. As you know, in spite of the time, the President finds time for various sports, art, science, writing music, creating works of art. It is also known that the President of the country has approved the official symbols of the upcoming Asian Games-2017. The Head of State stressed that the symbols of Asian Games-2017 embody ancestral values ​​of the Turkmen people, contain a concentrated expression of its ancient history, rich culture and original traditions.
