Today, in the exhibition hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry the International exhibition «Public health services, education and sports in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state» and the scientific conference, traditionally timed to Day of workers of public health services and medical industry widely marked in Turkmenistan were opened.
The event held annually is one of the major events that promotes familiarization with achievements of the country in above-named spheres, introduction of advanced achievements of medical science in the system of public health services and the further strengthening of relations with foreign partners.
In the opening ceremony of the specialised exhibition organised jointly with the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, Ministry of Education, State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairwoman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and international organisations, ministries and sectoral departments, medical scientific-clinical centres, public organisations, educational institutions, mass media, numerous health care providers of the country as well as honoured elders took part.
Participants of the festive event warmly congratulated President Arkadag Hero Serdar on with the honorary title «Türkmenistanyň at gazanan arhitektory» assigned on the occasion of Day of workers of public health services and medical industry of Turkmenistan, the 30th anniversary of the Government program «Saglyk» as well as taking into account special merits in the sphere of public health services and on the basis of the proposals, which were received from our people.
Recently at the initiative of Hero-Arkadag the decision on strengthening the material and technical basis, modernisation of the creative centre "Jahan" located in our capital was adopted with assistance of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It has a great significance in perfection of activity of the given centre.
The first performance of the children's song and music group of the creative centre "Jahan" with assistance of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of Day of workers of public health services and medical industry widely marked in the country became a wonderful gift to the holiday.
The gathered heard the welcoming message of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent to participants of the forum with great enthusiasm.
As the head of the state noted, for years of independence our state has created a strong basis for the national system of public health services, education and sports. In the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the system of public health services, education and sports of the country experience a remarkable development. Health, well-being and happy life of our people make up a basis of our activity. Protection of health of the individual who is the main asset of our society and state, acts as one of the priorities of the state policy.
«On the margins of complex perfection of the national education system we continue large scale construction of new educational complexes including all kinds of educational institutions, especially kindergartens, secondary schools, creative centres equipped with modern computer technics, educational equipment and interactive multimedia technologies in our favourite country. We also realise complex reforms in development of system of physical training and sports in the country», - the President of Turkmenistan pointed out in his message.
Then, numerous visitors of the ceremony familiarised themselves with the stands presented at the international exhibition. The number of countries-participants of this prestigious forum increases year after year. This time, about 120 scientists, doctors, specialists from 40 countries of the world as well as representatives of more than 180 leading companies engaged in manufacture of medical equipment, technology and rendering services in spheres of sports, science and education take part in it.
In the pavilion devoted to achievements of Arkadag city in the sphere of public health services, on big screens by video clips the noble activity of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at national and international levels are displayed widely. Though, from the moment of establishment of the Foundation has not passed much time, enormous work has been made in achievement of goals and objectives in the field of health protection of children. Purchase of necessary medical equipment for children's branches of velayat, etrap, and city branches of hospitals, donation of modern ambulance cars to them also attest to the fact. The Charitable Foundation pays expenses on various operations and treatment of children needing guardianship in medical institutions of the capital and regions of our fatherland that testifies to the fact that humane principles of ancestors are enriched today with the new maintenance thanks to wise undertakings of Hero-Arkadag and efforts of Arkadagly Hero Serdar.
Our children are surrounded with special attention of the state. The children's health improving-rehabilitation centre named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which unites several facilities, is an important part of social infrastructure of the "smart" city of Arkadag where children undergo treatment and restoration of their health. Effective methods of development of thinking and creative abilities of children who are brought up in the kindergarten of the health improving-rehabilitation centre are also used.
The company «Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment» has started manufacture of the medical products meeting high ecological requirements, including cotton wool, disposable nonwoven masks, hats, dressing gowns, coverlets, shoe covers and other medical accessories to hospitals. The company strictly observes requirements of national and international standards TDS ISO 9001 in the area of «quality management system». Besides it, the enterprise produces dairy additives enriched with micro and macro elements, vitamins for children older 6 months. Acknowledgement of conformity of production manufactured there to high international standards was conformed with the awarding of production and baby food of the enterprise «Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment» a gold medal «Product of the Year» and the corresponding diploma at the n exhibition in Moscow in September of the current year. With construction of a complex medical cluster in Arkadag city, an assortment of medical production manufactured in the country will considerably extend in the near future.
At the stand of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan a rich assortment of medical products and products of medical equipment of local production were presented. In past years, within the framework of realisation of government programs, in the country new enterprises for manufacture of medical products from local raw materials were opened. Guests were treated to tonic teas prepared from medicinal herbs, described in the multivolume scientific encyclopaedia of Hero-Arkadag «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan».
Pavilions of sanatoria and health improving-rehabilitation centres of various regions of our fatherland make up a separate section of the exhibition. Nowadays each of them is the modern centre of health improvement corresponding to the international standards for its equipment and services. The local sanatoria known for mineral waters and curative mud, offer inhabitants high-quality services of treatment and recovery of health all around the year.
Economic societies «Saglyk», «Gumry», «Zenjebil», «Çöl oty», as wel as private enterprises «Myratly Gadam», «Ak hümmet», «Çebşek», «Yşgyn», «Tebip», «Sabur», «Ýandak» acquaint visitors of the exhibition with given services in the given sphere.
It is necessary to mark an active participation of foreign partners of our country, in the international forum as well as the companies interested in participation in large-scale projects, realised in the conditions of promptly developing national system of public health services. So, the world famous company «Siemens Healthineers», specialising in manufacture of stationary and portable x-ray equipment, complexes of ultrasonic diagnostics and computer tomography, represents the latest developments in this area. The company «Seda Medical» offers services in delivery and installation of the equipment for laboratory diagnostics. The orthopaedic footwear and other accessories of company "Aetrex" as well as the equipment for study of biological medicine and genetics of American biotechnological company "Illumina" also evoke a great interest in visitors. The Austrian company "Askin&Co" in turn acquaints visitors with technological solutions for treatment of diseases of eyes.
The innovative production of the old partner of our country - the German company «Fresenius Medical Care», being one of the leaders in manufacture of the equipment for dialysis of disease of kidneys also attracts the attention. At stands of companies "Berlin-Chemie", Swiss «Roche» and «Sandoz», French «Sanofi», Slovene «Krka» and Hungarian «Gedeon Richter» innovative preparations for treatment of various diseases and vaccination are presented. The British company «Medilain Marketing» specialises in wholesale trade in medical products. The Russian company "Tathimfarm" represents production applied in surgery, and the Lithuanian company «Afono laivas» - medical preparations for anaesthesia.
In the international exhibition held in the capital, several large Indian manufacturers of pharmaceutical production and medical equipment also take part. Among them are representatives of the companies «SR Pharmaceutical Industries», «Healthium», «JMB Pharmaceuticals», «Isshaan», which tell of their wide experience to numerous visitors of the exhibition. The Pakistan company "Herbion" represents cosmetics on the basis of natural components, and Turkish company "Evyap" – preparations of personal hygiene. Several Chinese companies, along with traditional national medicine, acquaint with modern methods of treatment and equipment for supply of offices of medical centres.
As a whole, a large-scale exposition not only comprehensively shows achievements of the national system of public health services, but also gives a possibility for acquaintance with advanced achievements of world medicine. There, it is also possible to receive various recommendations of health from highly qualified specialists from different countries of the world. Thus, the exhibition serves for businesspersons as a convenient platform for advancement of new business initiatives, and for medical workers - for exchange of experience.
A high level of science and education of the population, as well as health, are the most valuable riches of each country. The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Academy of Sciences and higher educational institutions of the country pay much attention to acquaintance of the wide public with the new creative solutions based on high technologies. The fact that many of these works belong to young specialists and scientists of the country evokes a special pride. The youth, who is the main pillar of our land, conducts scientific researches promoting the well- balanced development of various branches of economy, bringing a considerable contribution to the further growth of scientific-educational potential of our fatherland. The international scientific community recognised a number of creative works of young men. Besides it, the Turkmen youth actively participates in the prestigious international subject Olympiads and occupies prize-winning places and all this has found a bright reflexion at stands of higher educational institutions.
At present, for our youth all conditions are created to receive education and improve their professional skill in leading world higher educational institutions. On the sidelines of the international exhibition embassies of Italy, Germany, and other private establishments will acquaint visitors of the exhibition with possibilities, which they offer in this area.
A source of creativity - health, and a source of health - a healthy way of life. It visually shows the stand of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan where cups, medals and diplomas of winners of the international Olympic Games are also are presented. As a result of the large scale reforms initiated by National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state and nowadays successfully realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmen sports as well as all other branches of the country, entered into a qualitatively new level of development. Being a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Asian Olympic Council, Turkmenistan brings a worthy contribution to development of the international Olympic movement. Our state constantly strengthens cooperation with the world community, first of all, using potential of sports diplomacy in interests of peace and friendship.
The richness of the program of the international forum, which included a number of important actions, testifies to the fact that Day of workers of public health services and medical industry, widely marked in the International year of peace and trust, becomes one of memorial dates in the modern history of our land.
On the first day of the forum, a solemn ceremony of awarding of the workers who have distinguished themselves in the work of public health services on the occasion of their professional holiday, was held. Those who have been awarded expressed their deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their great care of well-being of our people, and the created conditions for effective work of physicians who work for protection health of the population.
In the second half of the day, presentations of XVII volume of the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» and «Achievements in public health services system» by academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, doctor of medical sciences, professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place.
Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet, heads and specialists of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, profile departments, representatives of other ministries, state structures, public organisations, mass media as well as student youth took part in actions.
The next volume, which supplements the scientific encyclopaedia of Hero-Arkadag, gives readers the valuable information on important natural resources of the flora of our fatherland for treatment of diseases.
The volume XVII of the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» like previous volumes consists of two parts: «Characteristic of herbs» and «Instructions on application». On its pages the full and exhaustive information on 107 herbs, which are considered as valuable and curative treasure of herbal medicine are supplied.
In reports, it was underlined that the multivolume scientific edition causes a huge interest and enjoys a wide popularity not only in the international medical community, but also among wide readership. This unique scientific-encyclopaedic work on herbs of the Turkmen land and national herbal medicine was translated into many languages of the world and is accessible to millions foreign readers. The multi-volume work became the reference book for the specialists working in various areas of medicine of our fatherland. As was marked, Hero-Arkadag could create a perfect sample of the national medicine, which has united wisdom, and experience of ancestors and modern trends of world medical science.
This fundamental scientific research comprehensively describing medical properties of tens of kinds of local medicinal herbs, fruits, including endemics, allows readers to familiarise with centuries-old experience and traditions of the Turkmen people, which have brought a huge contribution to the treasury of achievements of humanity, including in the field of medical science. The rich content of the encyclopaedia also gives an opportunity for foreign readers to familiarise with the nature of our land. The book made on the basis of scientific principles, includes the dictionary of names of herbs, data on ways of preparation of medical drinks, their gathering and periods of storage.
In the new volume of the book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan», the modern as well as age-old experience transferred from generation to generation, experience of famous scientists of the Oriental medicine, as well as Turkmen healers, who regularly apply «natural drugstore».
It is necessary to note that this International year of peace and trust marks the 30th anniversary of the Government program «Saglyk», developed under the leadership of Hero-Arkadag. The book of the National Leader of the Turkmen people under the title “Achievements in public health services sphere» is devoted to successes in this major social sphere for the past period. The advanced experience and modern technologies are widely introduced in all structures of the system. With a view of promotion of achievements in public health services and successful advancement of the country towards the healthy future, with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan of March 26, 2021, the revised version of the Government program «Saglyk» and the Plan of actions for its realisation for 2021-2025 were approved.
The setting out of the system of public health services and medical industry of the country on the innovative path of development, wide introduction of advanced world scientific experience are one of the key priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan. The signing of several documents on construction of new large objects of public health service by the President of Turkmenistan at the recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers became an important step on this way.
In commemoration of the professional holiday of physicians, today ceremonies of stone laying of new medical institutions in regions of our fatherland, opening of new objects of public health services in the capital and Mary velayat also took place. It is another evidence of the fact that the large-scale activity started by Hero-Arkadag in public healthcare and advanced medical services, successfully proceeds under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The book «Achievements in public health services sphere» consists of 22 chapters, which on the basis of concrete facts and the statistical data visually show outstanding achievements in public health services and pharmaceutical branch of our country. The book opens with chapters «People’s health - the country’s wealth», «Organization and management of public health services system». The special attention was given to medical institutions of Arkadag city, which is a symbol of creative potential of the new historical epoch. In chapters «Prophylaxis of diseases - a basis of healthy life», «Maintenance of sanitary and epidemiologic well-being», «Modern methods of treatment and prophylactic work», «Prophylaxis of non-contagious diseases» one can find in detail positive results of preventive actions. In chapters «The material and technical basis of the system of public health services», «Financial provision of public health services» the work carried out to reform the given system is reflected. In the chapter «Healthy mother - the healthy generation», the work carried out in health protection of mothers and children is considered and the chapter "Hospitalization" highlights the role of the modern equipment in public health protection.
Separate chapters of the new book are devoted to the development of cardiologic, pulmonology, oncological and endocrinology services of the system of national public health services. Chapters «Achievements of the pharmaceutical industry» and «Provision of the population with medical products» speak of achievements in this area for years of independence. The chapter «Medical sanatoria» opens up the potential of sanatorium system of the country. Special chapters are devoted to the professional level of medical workers and perfection of its standard and legal basis of the system. The chapter «Digital system in public health services» defines priority goals of development of digital medicine. The chapter «Health protection - the main objective of the state» concludes the new book. This work written by Hero-Arkadag is accessible to the wide audience in Turkmen, English and Russian languages.
As was marked in speeches at the presentation, in independent Turkmenistan, the public health is considered the wealth of the country. A great significance in this connection is given to introduction of principles of healthy way of life and prophylaxis of diseases. According to the Government program «Saglyk», our state allocates considerable funds for introduction of the high technologies and the best world experience in the medical sphere. In the capital - Ashgabat and Arkadag city as well as in regions of the country hospitals, health improving centres and health homes, sanatoria, sports complexes equipped according to the world standards are constructed, infrastructure of the branch is constantly modernised.
The population is provided with a high-quality medical aid, the national model of public health services is regularly improved and it ensures availability of a wide spectrum of high-quality services of public health services and treatment, corresponding to the international standards to our people. The development of the pharmaceutical industry also received a new impulse. The medical cluster, created in Arkadag city allocated with a special legal status of the city of state significance, in several years will considerably increase capacities of the pharmaceutical industry of the country.
On the basis of the Program "Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052", the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028, National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Transformation of the Social and Living Conditions of the Population of Villages, Towns, Etrap Cities, and Etrap Centres for the Period up to 2028 are being successfully implemented in their new editions, in the capital and regions of our fatherland modern clinical, scientific-clinical centres, modern pharmaceutical enterprises, health homes are built, making up glorious pages in the history of our independent land.
As participants of the conference underlined, outstanding achievements in the system of public health services of our country clearly attest to the well-thought socially focused state policy initiated by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and consistently realised today by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The all-round care of health and well-being of Turkmen people - the basic area of the far-sighted strategy originating from the basic principle: «State - for people!».
After the presentation ceremonies in the conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry the plenary session of the scientific conference «Public health services, education and sports in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state», in which famous scientists-professors from a number of foreign countries, doctors of sciences, representatives of spheres of public health services, education and sports took part, was held.
Guests congratulated their Turkmen colleagues with their professional holiday and highly appreciated achievements of independent Turkmenistan in the sphere of public health services corresponding to standards of the World Health Organization as well as important international initiatives, which were put forward by the head of the state. In that connection, the attention was focused on new approaches aimed at activization of international cooperation in the sphere of public health services and association of efforts in combat against global challenges of the present.
In speeches, it was underlined that popularisation of healthy way of life, perfection of methods of primary medical and sanitary aid, development of the institute of family medicine, improvement of quality and expansion of a spectrum of the medical services rendered to the population, the further perfection of activity of treatment and prophylaxis and sanatorium establishments, strengthening of material and technical basis of establishments of public health services, strengthening of interaction of medical science and practice, improvement of professional skill of doctors, perfection of legislative basis of public health services are one of the priority goals of modernisation of system of public health services and pharmaceutical industry of Turkmenistan. The established relations with partners - foreign states and international organisations also open ample opportunities for propagation of achievements of our country in public health services and exchange of international experience.
As was marked, thanks to initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and indefatigable efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a huge work is carried out in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state to bring out the system of public health services to new boundaries of development.
Protection of public health was and remains a priority area of the state policy. In that regard, within the implementation of the Government program «Saglyk», an active work is carried out to improve the health of citizens, quality and life expectancy, prevent diseases, introduce advanced methods in the public health services system and develop physical training and sports.
In speeches of foreign visitors, they highly appreciated initiatives of Hero-Arkadag and unprecedented efforts of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on development of the national system of public health services. As was marked, for years of independence in the country modern hospitals, scientific-clinical centres and sanatoria equipped with innovative technologies, answering to the world standards were constructed and pup into operation.
In that connection, the special attention was given to the work of the international scientific-clinical centre of physiology, the solemn opening of which was held in 2024. The methodical experience, which was obtained as a result of scientific researches held there, promotes solution of the problems connected with prevention, timely diagnostics and treatment of diseases, and also development of new innovative methods aimed at increase of standards of living of the population.
Topical research work on study of influence of natural and environmental conditions of our country on human health evoked a great interest in participants of the forum. Theoretical and practical achievements of the international scientific-clinical centre of physiology in solution of physiological problems of hot climate were highly appreciated by the world scientific community. In this connection, during the conference representatives of the centre confirmed readiness for discussion of various areas of scientific researches and cooperation prospects.
Importance of development of physical training and sports, which promote the strengthening of friendship between people, was especially underlined. The necessity of continuation of joint activity on development of various sports, especially attraction of children with limited possibilities to sports and maintenance of their integration into society was in this connection marked. In that regard, in the general opinion, the International conference «Year of peace and trust: development of the international activity for children», timed to the 4th anniversary of establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship had a great significance. As was marked, similar forums play an important role in health protection of children and expansion of international cooperation in this sphere.
Delegates of the forum also familiarised themselves with the work carried out in various areas of public health services in medical institutions of different countries, and exchanged opinions on cooperation possibilities.
It was noted that the establishment of regular contacts and exchange of experience with leading experts of Europe and Asia is a general contribution to solution of global problems on health protection of people. In that regard, realisation of joint projects, programs, introduction of the latest technologies and equipment, advanced methods in the field of prevention, diagnostics and treatments of various diseases were recognised as priority areas of long-term effective partnership.
On the second and third day, the scientific conference will proceed in the sections held by higher educational institutions and establishments of public health services of the country in 20 areas of medicine, education, science and sports. Besides it, within the international forum in structures of public health services and pharmaceutical branch of the country will pass XI congress of cardiologists of Turkic speaking countries, the International congress of physiologists of countries of Central Asia, the International conference of oncologists of countries of Eurasia.
During the international forum, in the hybrid format, the ceremony of signing of documents took place. They included: Memorandum of mutual cooperation between the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly (Turkmenistan) and the Kalmyk state university named after B.B.Gorodovikov (Russian Federation); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the International Oil and Gas university named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev (Turkmenistan) and the Sukhumi state university (Georgia); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady (Turkmenistan) and Norwich Institute of Language Education (United Kingdom); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Oguz han engineering-technological university of Turkmenistan and the Hanoi university of science and technologies (Vietnam); The cooperation agreement between the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly (Turkmenistan) and Perm state national research university (Russian Federation); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly (Turkmenistan) and University of social sciences of Ankara (Turkiye Republic); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev and National university of bio resources and wildlife management of Ukraine; the cooperation agreement between the State medical university of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev and Federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education «Kazan state medical university» of Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation; the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the International university for the humanities and development (Turkmenistan) and Westminster university (United Kingdom); the Agreement on the academic and cultural cooperation between the Turkmen national institute of world languages named after Dovletmammet Azady (Turkmenistan) and Faculty of Philosophy III - pedagogical science of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Federal Republic of Germany); the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Turkmen state financial institution and the Azerbaijan state economic university; the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Turkmen state institute of economy and management and the Azerbaijan state university of economy.
The joint working plan for 2025 between the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the representation of Population Fund of the United Nations Organization (UNFPA) in Turkmenistan and the Agreement for Procurement of Vaccines and Immunization Devices in 2026-2028 under the Framework of the “Memorandum of Understanding on the Provision of Procurement Services between the Government of Turkmenistan and United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF)» were also signed.
Thus, the international forum held in the Turkmen capital opens many opportunities for intensification of partnership in spheres of public health services, science and education, sports. Development of mutually beneficial relations with interested parties is the major area of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan based on principles of positive neutrality.
