Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Jeong Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Korean company «Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd».

Expressing gratitude to the head of state for the opportunity to meet, the businessman noted that he was honoured to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for a mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenbashy Chemical Plant.

Expressing gratitude for the warm words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised his high regard for the relations established between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea.

As noted, the interstate partnership has consistently developed based on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. For many years, leading Korean companies have been implementing large-scale projects in the oil, gas, and chemical industries of Turkmenistan, which is a significant contribution to the development of bilateral economic cooperation.

In this context, the effective nature of the interaction established with «Daewoo» was noted. Expressing heartfelt gratitude for the trust placed in him, the businessman reaffirmed his company's commitment to successfully fulfilling its contractual obligations.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said the country's chemical industry is currently one of the fastest-growing sectors, emphasising that the primary development strategy for this segment is the production of products for the national economy and export-oriented goods using local raw materials.

The head of state also noted that the country is undertaking extensive work to modernise and diversify the economy, and that major production projects are being implemented within the framework of state programs.

The businessman emphasised that the company he leads is honoured to contribute to the implementation of Turkmenistan's socio-economic programs. In this regard, the guest expressed gratitude to the head of state for the favourable conditions created for the fruitful operations of «Daewoo» Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. in the Turkmen market.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the head and all employees of the «Daewoo» company great success in implementing the project to build a mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.
