On October 22, 2025, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil, Saeed Al Tayer, as well as the Acting Chairman of the Board of Dragon Oil, Abdulkarim Al Maazmi.

The guests expressed their gratitude to the President for his hospitality and noted the effectiveness of Turkmenistan's state policy on diversifying the fuel and energy complex. They noted Turkmenistan's growing authority in the international arena as an energy power.

Warm words of greeting and best wishes were conveyed to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, warm greetings and best wishes from the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The company executives noted that it was a great honor for them to work in Turkmenistan, where a favorable investment climate has been created. They expressed their gratitude to the head of state, as well as to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Hero-Arkadag, for their support in working in the Turkmen market.

After expressing his gratitude for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed his best wishes to the senior leadership of the United Arab Emirates. The head of state emphasized that by participating in the International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025,” guests will be able to learn about the large-scale activities being carried out in Turkmenistan in this area and the successes achieved.

The President expressed confidence that the upcoming meetings between company representatives would contribute to the further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

It was noted that relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates are developing dynamically on the basis of mutual respect and trust, both bilaterally and within the framework of the United Nations and other international structures.

The President noted that the oil and gas sector is one of the dynamically developing industries in Turkmenistan. The development strategy for this sector is aimed at producing products from local raw materials for the local economy, as well as for export. In this context, the positive experience of cooperation with Dragon Oil was highlighted.

The Head of state confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to consider specific proposals from Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil on the development of partnership.

At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the mutually beneficial partnership would continue to develop effectively and wished Saeed Al Tayer and Abdulkarim Al Maazmi success in their work.
