As part of his official visit to the Italian Republic, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Stefano Pontecorvo, head of Leonardo S.p.A.

Warmly welcoming the Head of Turkmenistan, Stefano Ponticorvo expressed confidence that the results of the negotiations held during the visit would give impetus to the further expansion of partnership between Turkmenistan and Italy.

The head of the company also stressed that it was a great honor for his company to participate in large-scale projects implemented in Turkmenistan, which is demonstrating rapid socio-economic development.

Thanking him for his kind words and noting that he was pleased to meet in such a remarkable city as Rome, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that this ancient city is not only a historical and cultural center, but also an important political and economic center of Europe.

It was noted that Italy is one of Turkmenistan's key partners in Europe. In this regard, the head of state expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will continue to strengthen and expand in various areas.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the negotiations held during the visit will create a good basis for further deepening and increasing effective business cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting emphasized that contacts between Turkmenistan and Italian companies have already shown high potential.
