The New Year celebrations, held under the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», which took place in the city of Arkadag, were full of joyful moments. All this became a clear confirmation of the fact that the cultural events organised on the occasion of the New Year in the new city, built in a combination of national architectural traditions and modern advanced experience, as in all corners of our country, took place in an atmosphere of high spiritual uplift.

The festive celebrations that unfolded on the first day of the New Year in the city of Arkadag began with a flag-raising ceremony in the central square of the new city, built in accordance with the «smart city» concept. This marked the organised holding of an event that has become a noble tradition in our country.

This celebration inspired residents and guests of the city. The release of colourful balloons into the sky became a visible confirmation that the festive events held in our country to mark significant dates are accompanied by grand celebrations. The joy and delight of the festival participants, along with the rousing song and music performances, reflected the happy life that reigns in our country.

The festive events continued with a ceremonial procession through the territory of the new city. Modern buildings, spacious streets and squares with fountains, creating a unified harmony of the city, are festively decorated.

The festive celebrations, which spanned the entire city, included vibrant performances by cultural and artistic figures, as well as young artists. The celebration, organised near the tree of the New Year in the city of Arkadag, took place in an atmosphere of high spiritual uplift. Here, the main characters of the holiday of the New Year, Ayaz baba and Garpamyk, along with happy children, joined in the fiery performances.

The joy of the children and the songs and musical compositions they performed gave the celebration the flavour inherent to Turkmen holidays. Ayaz baba listened to poems and songs performed by happy children and congratulated them on the New Year, which was declared «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses».

The joyful children expressed their gratitude for the congratulations and wishes through poems, songs and musical numbers. The children, who thanked Hero-Arkadag and Hero Arkadagly Serdar for creating ample opportunities for comprehensive development, obtaining a modern education, and strengthening the principles of a healthy lifestyle in Turkmenistan, recognised as a country of happy childhoods and the fulfilment of bright dreams, assured that they will grow up as sons and daughters devoted to their homeland.

The festive events that took place in the city of Arkadag then continued at the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Children undergoing treatment here received the gifts of New Year on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag.

Currently, in our country, confidently moving towards the heights of progress, the state attaches great importance to the education of the younger generation based on such noble principles as patriotism, respect for national traditions, and following the instructions of wise ancestors. It should be noted that the comprehensive work carried out in this direction is bringing positive results.

As part of today's celebration, which included song and music performances, children were presented with holiday gifts − various sweets, educational supplies, interactive tools, and musical instruments − on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag.

The children accepted the gifts with a feeling of great pride. All this is clear confirmation that concern for the upbringing of an educated generation is the focus of close attention.
