Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and velayat hyakims to consider issues of development of the country’s agro-industrial sector and work carried out in the regions.

The first floor was given to the hyakim of Ahal velayat T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the current agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, the velayat is currently replenishing wheat-sown fields with mineral fertilizers according to agricultural technology standards.

In preparation for sowing cotton, the land is plowed, leveled, harrowed and fertilized with minerals.

The necessary measures are being taken to select seeds to provide cotton producers with high-quality seed material, repair and proper maintenance of equipment and units involved in sowing.

In order to properly sow winter and vegetable crops, work is underway to prepare fields and seeds for the spring campaign, as well as to improve the reclamation condition of arable lands.

In addition, the hyakim reported on the measures taken to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in buildings for social and cultural purposes, for uninterrupted electricity, gas and water supply to the population, as well as on the progress of construction of facilities planned for commissioning in the velayat this year.

After listening to the report, head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need for proper implementation of seasonal agro-technical measures and preparation for the spring sowing campaign, giving the hyakim appropriate instructions in this regard.

The President of Turkmenistan also instructed to keep under control the high-quality and timely implementation of construction work at the facilities scheduled for opening in the velayat this year.

Then the hyakim of Balkan velayat H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the pace of agricultural activities in the fields of the region.

It was reported that the areas sown with wheat are currently being maintained, in particular, replenishing the soil with mineral fertilizers.

Work is underway to level the fields intended for sowing cotton, as well as to prepare seeds and equipment for the upcoming sowing season.

In accordance with the set tasks to further strengthen food security in the country, the necessary measures are being taken in the region to prepare for the spring sowing of potatoes, vegetable and melon crops, and arable lands.

The hyakim also reported on the work being done to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings and social buildings in the region, to provide the population with electricity, natural gas and drinking water. Along with this, the progress of construction of facilities that are planned to be put into operation in the velayat this year was reported.

Summarizing the report, the head of state noted that in order to achieve high results in agricultural production, strict adherence to agricultural technology standards is necessary at all stages of production, and gave the hyakim a number of assignments.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also instructed to keep the focus on the quality of construction work at the facilities scheduled to open in the region in 2026.

Then the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat D. Babayev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.

As reported, in order to prepare for the upcoming cotton sowing, plowing, leveling and replenishment of the soil with mineral fertilizers continue in the fields. Necessary measures are being taken to select high-quality cotton seed material suitable for the soil and climatic conditions of the region, as well as for the proper functioning of agricultural machinery and equipment during sowing.

In addition, appropriate work is underway in the velayat to prepare agricultural land and seeds for planting food crops.

The region is also taking steps to clean up territories, irrigation and collector-drainage systems.

In addition, it was reported on the measures taken to ensure the reliable functioning of heating systems in residential buildings and social and cultural buildings in the region in winter, uninterrupted electricity, gas and water supply to the population, as well as the pace of construction of facilities that are planned for commissioning in the velayat this year.

After listening to the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that the implementation of seasonal agricultural work in the fields of the region within the established agro-technical timeframes and with high quality is the main condition for obtaining rich harvests, and in this regard, addressed specific instructions to the hyakim.

The head of state also ordered to ensure high-quality and timely implementation of work planned for this year in the region in accordance with the National Rural Program.

Next, hyakim of Lebap velayat D. Genjiev reported on the progress of current agricultural campaigns in the region.

It was reported that, in accordance with the tasks set by the President of the country in order to obtain rich harvests of agricultural crops, seasonal work continues in the velayat. Currently, work is being carried out on the sown areas to care for wheat in compliance with agricultural technology standards.

In the fields intended for sowing cotton, plowing, leveling, watering, and feeding with mineral fertilizers are carried out. At the same time, appropriate measures are being taken to prepare high-quality cotton seeds and agricultural machinery for use during the sowing season and when caring for crops.

Work is also underway to prepare fields and seeds for the spring planting of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops, to clean up areas, irrigation and collector-drainage systems to improve the land reclamation condition.

In addition, the khyakim reported that everything necessary is being done to ensure the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, buildings, organizations, enterprises, and social and cultural facilities in the region in winter, to ensure uninterrupted electricity, gas and water supply to the population. It was also reported on the progress of construction of facilities planned for opening in the region this year in accordance with the Country’s Socio-Economic Development Program for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the important role of the agricultural sector in the national economy and in this regard, instructed the hyakim to keep under control the proper implementation of agricultural measures to care for wheat and preparations for spring sowing.

Next, hyakim of Mary velayat D. Annaberdiev made a report on the pace of current agricultural campaigns.

As reported, the region continues to replenish the soil with mineral fertilizers and water the fields sown with wheat in accordance with agricultural technology standards.

The areas designated for sowing cotton are plowed and leveled. The necessary measures are being taken to provide cotton growers with high-quality seeds and ensure that their equipment is fully prepared for the spring campaign.

In order to successfully fulfill the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan to provide the population with domestically produced food products, work is being carried out in the velayat to prepare fields and seeds for the sowing season of potatoes and melons and vegetables, as well as to clean up areas, irrigation and collector-drainage systems.

Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev made a report on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

First of all, on behalf of all residents of the regions of the country, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for a large batch of modern vehicles and equipment purchased for the municipal services of the velayat hyakimliks. To provide producers with high-quality seeds, cotton ginneries take steps to process the cotton, select seed material and properly store it before the start of the planting campaign. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure the selection of high-quality cottonseeds, preparation of agricultural equipment and units for the upcoming sowing season, continue to care for fields sown with wheat in compliance with agro-technical requirements, as well as the collection of sugar beets in Mary velayat. Along with this, you need to keep the focus on preparing for the spring planting of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed to ensure control over the implementation of timely payments between cotton, wheat producers and service organizations and enterprises in the regions for work on harvesting cotton, wheat and rice in Lebap velayat and sugar beets in Mary velayat, as well as properly carry out measures to clean up the territories, irrigation and collector-drainage systems, and prepare the agricultural lands of the regions for the spring season.

In addition, the head of state ordered to keep the focus on the proper functioning of heating systems in residential buildings, schools and kindergartens, providing the population of the velayats with electricity, natural gas and drinking water, as well as strictly monitor the progress of construction of industrial and socio-cultural facilities in the regions.
