As a result of consecutive efforts of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, the Akhal-teke breed is recognised as touchstone in world horse breeding, today the glory of Turkmen horses steadily grows in the international arena. One of the significant events, including for the national horse breeding art, took place in the first month of 2026, which was declared «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers». In the given event, the essence of the motto of this year was reflected, it attested to the augmentation of the glory of Akhal-teke hordes in the world thanks to the bright, fascinating performances of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games of the Akhal-teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
As known, recently in Monte-Carlo (the Principality of Monaco) the 48th International Circus Arts Festival. Heads of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games of the Akhal-teke horse complex of the President of Turkmenistan and the State Circus of Turkmenistan participated in it as guests of honour to represent Turkmenistan. In the event, which took place on the sidelines of the large creative review, the international certificates of the World Circus Federation and the European Circus Association, handed to the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games for its big contribution to circus art were given to delegates of our country. On the occasion of this remarkable event, in Arkadag city an event was held.
In the event held on the modern bridge, located on the crossing of avenues of Gökdepe and Akhan, songs and melodies accompanied by dancing numbers sounded. The gathered with enthusiasm and in festive mood joined performances that became a reflection of the happy life of citizens in the present period.
It is remarkable that the event started from the place, where the working trip of the National Leader of the Turkmen people started to Arkadag city on January 27. One should point out that then, Hero-Arkadag emphasised the organisation of festive events and significant dates as well as maintenance of active participation of citizens, including the youth in them in the new city on the occasion of festivities. Thus, proceeding from recommendations of Hero-Arkadag, the present event was organised at high level, in the spirit of national festivals and with wide participation of representatives of the younger generation.
Participants of the event, having walked down from the bridge in the southern direction, gathered in the avenue of Akhan, along which members of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games on wonderful horses and a phaeton passed in an orderly manner.
It has become a noble tradition in our country to mark significant events, including at international level, increasing pleasure and pride of people. One of them, as was mentioned earlier, - the awarding of international certificates of the World Circus Federation and European Circus Association to the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games for its big contribution to circus art. The given event not only marked the beginning of 2026, but also enriched the maintenance of its motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers».
The orderly procession of members of the Group, who skilfully cope with horses, evoked a pride in participants for efforts of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar to augment the international fame of Akhal-teke horses as well as horse breeders, seyis and equestrians.
Then, before the gathered, an elegantly decorated motorcade passed: happy parents took their baby from the maternity home. This touching event attracted the general attention, having filled hearts with huge pleasure. Faces of persons gathered there were lighted up by an involuntary smile, they with kind wishes shared the moment of family happiness.
Further, participants of the event observed the magnificent wedding motorcade passing along the avenue symbolising creation of a new family, - the main and significant event in the life of every individual.
Long chains of cars carried the atmosphere of pleasure, happiness and celebration in the district. One should mark that today it has become an art to decorate wedding motorcades, a phaeton in their composition, which a newly-married couple rides that considerably increases conviviality of the event. A similar approach testifies to how much the great significance is attached by our people to celebrations, including wedding. One also should note that it is customary for Turkmens to see them off with kind wishes of happy family life at the moment of journey of such motorcades.
Then, the gathered headed towards the monument «Taýçanak».
On their way, participants of the event watched new buildings under construction along the avenue, admired beautiful views of Arkadag city erected under the initiative and with direct assistance of the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
After a while, the gathered approached the monument «Taýçanak», where members of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games on horses and phaeton headed towards the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly of Arkadag city.
Members of the Group held in their hands deserved international awards, which not only are symbols of high recognition, but also serve as stimulus for new, bigger achievements. Among them are remarkable international certificates of the World Circus Federation and European Circus Association, their delivery increased again the glory of Akhal-teke horses on the world scene.
The way of horsemen who started the procession from the monument «Taýçanak» along the avenue of Ahalteke atlary of the most advanced "smart city" in the contemporary history, led towards the monument «Akhan», where along the avenues of Akhan and Aba Annayev - to the square before the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly.
They were welcomed and accompanied by students with flags in their hands as well as happy residents of the new, magnificent city. The reigning atmosphere of joy and fun spoke of huge pride of big achievement recognised with international certificates in the beginning of 2026, full conformable to the meaning of its motto - «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers».
One should mark the fact that this success is directly connected with Akhal-teke horses and once again confirms the international recognition of the national cultural heritage, and fills hearts of citizens with a feeling of pleasure and pride in the year declared as «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers» as well as sincere gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their active attention to the given field.
On their way, processions on the occasion of the present significant event music and songs increased the festive atmosphere.
… Participants of the horse procession came to the square before the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly where they enthusiastically and joyfully were welcomed by the gathered.
There, honourable elders, skilled horse breeders and grey-haired mothers who congratulated them with another achievement met members of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games.
The State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly became an ornament of the architectural ensemble of the city. The horseshoe-shaped building is provided with the special equipment and the technologies answering to world standards. The circus, which can house 1500 spectators, became one of the most popular places by attendance of residents and guests of the city.
In honour of the festive event, the performance of workers of art and culture was organized there. The gathered enjoyed very much the songs and melodies performed with inspiration by creative groups.
Participants of the event also attended the exhibition organised in the foyer of the circus, where one could see exhibits reflecting magnificence of Akhal-teke horses with works of fine, decorative and applied arts, carpet making art, jeweller craft, as well as photos. Each of them differs with its originality of execution, including images of horses. The attention of the gathered was attracted to subjects of horse ammunition. The exhibition also displayed prizes won up today and other awards of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games. Among them - Grand Prix and special awards, which the Group won in 2025 at the 47th International festival of circus art in Monte-Carlo (the Principality of Monaco).
The special place was given to remarkable works by National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, swift horses, - «Akhal-teke horse - our pride and glory», «Swift step of race horse» and “A horse - a symbol of faithfulness and happiness”. Thanks to translation into various languages, these books, which have become accessible to the wider readership, have played a considerable role to increase the fame of Akhal-teke horses all over the world.
Then, in the hall of the State Equestrian Circus named after Gorogly of Arkadag city, the main celebration was held.
In the beginning, members of the Galkynysh Group were invited to the stage.
The international certificates given at the 48th International Circus Arts Festival in Monte-Carlo (Principality of Monaco), were placed in specially prepared place.
Further, the floor was given to participants of the event. As was marked, at the recent 48th International Circus Arts Festival held in Monte-Carlo (the Principality of Monaco) the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games won international certificates of the World Circus Federation and European Circus Association. Speaker sincerely congratulated Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar with this remarkable event, which again attests to the international recognition of achievements of the Group. It also fully testifies to successful realisation of initiatives of Hero Arkadag to develop equestrian sports under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
As was marked, the given event - international certificates given by the World Circus Federation and European Circus Association enriched the maintenance of 2026 expressed in the motto «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers».
Speaking about it, speakers underlined that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also attracted the attention to the motto of 2026 in his New Year's message to Turkmen nationals. The head of the state noted in it that with horses of the Akhal-teke breed, being our pride and property, are connected expectations and great aspirations of Turkmen people.
In our wonderful epoch, large scale reforms were implemented in the national economy, pillars of sustainable development of the country were strengthened. In in honour of the landmark of transformations and progress, occurring with swiftness of horse and amazing the general imagination in the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, - achievements of our beloved land by gold letters enter the new national history.
During the festive event, Artistic Director and Vice-President of the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo Urs Pilz spoke online.
As the Vice-President underlined, past year, the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games successfully acted at the International Circus Festival, and its performance became a historical event. For this huge contribution, Mr. Urs Pilz warmly congratulated Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan, as well as all Turkmen people with the deserved international certificates and wished members of the Group new achievements in the future. He also noted that the success of the group became possible thanks to creation of necessary conditions and huge attention, which is given in Turkmenistan to the development of equestrian sports and circus art at the state level and in this connection he expressed his deep gratitude.
- Your Group, equestrians and horses really became an ornament of our festival thanks to the impressing performances at the highest level. We will never forget their triumph, the unsurpassed skill shown by them and how they have worthily represented their country, having increased its authority. For us it was a great honour to receive you, - he said.
At the end, Mr. Urs Pilz expressed hope again to see magnificent Akhal-teke horses on the arena of the circus festival in the future and expressed to National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and President Arkadagly Hero Serdar his sincere gratitude for fruitful cooperation.

The Turkmen people have created a number of material assets and have made a huge contribution to the universal cultural treasury. Inclusion of the Art of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the Traditions of Horse Decoration in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity as one of the outstanding areas of Turkmen art even more raised the prestige of "heavenly" racers - a phenomenon of national and world culture.
Thanks to efforts of the head of the state in our fatherland aimed at further progress, consecutive steps are taken to widely popularise Akhal-teke horses. Thoroughbred "winged" horses of our people are the material and spiritual riches, which increase the beauty of the remarkable modern epoch. They by right are named "heavenly" and "paradise" racers. The proud image of the Akhal-teke horse takes the central place in the State Emblem of Turkmenistan. Being pride of the nation, our horses are famous for the whole world.
In the given context, the speakers placed a special emphasis on the thoughts stated in the new book by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov «Neutrality of Turkmenistan - a bright way of peace and trust».
As Hero Arkadagly Serdar marks in his new work, the Akhal-teke horse and Turkmen alabai are not only the national property of Turkmenistan, but also the cultural heritage of the whole world. The Turkmen horse became a magnificent embodiment of prompt impulse of our expensive fatherland to new heights of creation and progress, a symbol of continuity of national heritage and visual evidence of creative talent of the Turkmen people. Today the Akhal-teke horse is a high symbol of achievements of our country, an embodiment of hopes of our ancestors that have come true. Our people, who have created wise saying «At - myrat», connect the bright dreams and great purposes with horses. Recognised as the beauty and perfection standard, the Akhal-teke horse became the main symbol of prompt development of Turkmenistan in the new historical epoch.
For this reason, our united people, who firmly believe that 2026 will become for society and the state the year of high boundaries and outstanding historical fulfilments, with a feeling of huge responsibility have embarked on this year, which has received the motto, opening a new page in the history of the country, thanks to efforts of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar and confidently goes on the path of well-being and progress. This way is aimed at realisation of large-scale affairs for prosperity of our independent neutral fatherland, growth of well-being of people, as well as making a worthy contribution into the further all-around development of our native land. It is a sign of the fact that in 2026 in Turkmenistan remarkable successes will be also reached and new heights of progress will be subdued. Speakers with pride pointed out that another international achievement of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games in the first month of this year is a good harbinger of new successes and victories. It keeps a symbolical accord with the motto of the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the native land of purposeful winged racers».
The celebration proceeded with performances of workers of art and culture, which added much joy to the event held on the occasion of achievements of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games.
Songs and literary-music compositions glorified the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, great achievements, which are carried out in the country under the wise leadership of Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, as well as the beauty and glory of Turkmen horses.
Then, on the stage of the circus, in honour of today's celebration, the performance of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games was organized and it presented spectators with unforgettable impressions. The skill shown by our equestrians, became a bright acknowledgement of the fact that today the national equestrian sports and circus art successfully develop and reach new heights.
The “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games plays an important role in development of circus art of the country. As known, this group was created in 2007 at the initiative of National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
It is pleasant to note that, performing worldwide, the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games was awarded sets of prestigious international awards in the field, including Grand Prix at the World Circus Festival «IDOL», held in 2013 in Moscow (Russian Federation), XVI International Circus Festival in Latino (Italy) - in 2014, II International Circus Festival in the People’s Republic of China - in 2015 and in the II World Games of Nomads in the city of Cholpon-Ata (Kirghiz Republic) - in 2016. Besides it, in 2018 at the I International Circus Arts Festival «On Fontanka», held in St.-Petersburg, the Group was awarded a gold figurine of "Gold Gaetano», and last year - the Gold award and other special prizes at the 47th International Circus arts Festival in Monte-Carlo (the Principality of Monaco).
Performances of the “Galkynyş” Group of National Equestrian Games evoked a huge interest of the public, it is literally attracting itself all attention of spectators. In each movement of equestrians and racers dexterity, beauty and fineness merge in uniform harmony, increasing staginess of representation.
Magnificence and grace of horses and skill of equestrians executing the most complicated tricks at full tilt, delight spectators. It testifies to the highest level of professionalism reached by members of the Galkynysh Group. Numbers demanding enormous skill, fill our hearts with a feeling of boundless pride of this talented group and for worldwide-glorified "winged" Akhal-teke horses. Fascinating performances of equestrians were accompanied by a noisy prolonged applause.
At the end of the event, its participants adopted the message to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Execution of the song “Sagbol Gahryman Arkadagymyz, Arkadagly Gahryman Serdarymyz” became an inspiring final chord of the celebration!».
Upon completion of the official part of the event, in Arkadag city the festive sadaka, at which prayers for well-being of our native land, unity of our people and abundance of dastarkhans were read, was given. They wished Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar sound health, longevity and successes in their large-scale state activity for the bright future of our fatherland sounded.
