On the day of the celebration of International Women's Day, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, paid a working visit to the city of Arkadag, built in accordance with modern requirements and high international standards. There, at the headquarters of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, he delivered a congratulatory address to dear mothers, women, and girls on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Noting that in the first days of spring the country widely celebrates International Women’s Day—a holiday dedicated to our dear mothers, women, and girls—Hero-Arkadag emphasized that in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the dignity of Turkmen women, distinguished by their high spirit, moral purity, and skill, is held in great esteem. The country creates all necessary conditions for women to work in various spheres, and their activities are highly valued.

Warmly congratulating our wonderful mothers and grandmothers, happy women and girls, dear sisters and little girls on this remarkable spring holiday—International Women’s Day—Hero-Arkadag stressed that by preserving and developing such national traditions of our ancestors as honoring women and showing deep respect for their dignity, these noble principles in our country have been elevated to the rank of sacred values.

The Turkmen people have always revered their mothers and dear women as the guardians of the family hearth and well-being. Special respect for the gentle mother, faithful wife, and beloved sister has passed through the centuries as a noble tradition of our people and has been preserved to this day. A mother who gives life to a person is a sacred figure before whom one must always bow. She is placed on the same level as the Motherland and native land. The very concept of “Ene toprak” (“Mother Earth”) did not arise by chance. In the words of a poet, we consider the mother “the beauty and essence of the world.” To bring joy to mothers and receive their blessings is the greatest happiness. A mother’s blessing is a miraculous force that opens all paths, Hero-Arkadag continued.

Noting that in the year “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” festive events dedicated to International Women’s Day are celebrated with particular solemnity, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the worthy contribution of happy women to all our achievements and to the further strengthening of the power of the Motherland, as well as their special role in preserving national traditions and customs.

The state shows special care in providing comprehensive support to large families and improving their living conditions. As Hero-Arkadag noted, every year on the occasion of International Women’s Day ceremonies are held to honor mothers of many children who have been awarded the honorary title of Turkmenistan “Ene mähri.” A large group of such families are presented with the keys to new apartments in comfortable residential buildings.

Noting that it has become a noble tradition to present financial gifts to the women of the country on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that our dear women are the beautiful flowers of the Motherland and the stars that illuminate our homes with happiness. The country will continue to create all the necessary conditions for the prosperous life and creative work of women, said Hero-Arkadag.

Taking the opportunity, Hero-Arkadag once again warmly congratulated mothers and grandmothers, girls and young women, and all the women of the country on International Women’s Day, widely celebrated both in our country and internationally. Wishing all compatriots good health, inexhaustible happiness, and family well-being, Hero-Arkadag concluded his festive address with the words: “May your honor and dignity always remain high.”

Then, at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, a ceremony was held to present monetary gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the girls undergoing treatment there on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The presentation of holiday gifts to them on behalf of Hero-Arkadag further enhanced the significance of the celebration.

At present, in Turkmenistan—recognized as a land of happy childhood and fulfilled dreams—great importance is attached at the state level to promoting the principles of a healthy lifestyle. Strengthening the health of the younger generation and ensuring their harmonious development have become among the main directions of the socially oriented state policy carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, the successful implementation of which is reflected in the deep gratitude of children and parents to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

Children joyfully received the festive gifts presented on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag. Musical and song performances added even greater solemnity to the event.
