Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, left for a visit to the Republic of Austria.

Thanks to the far-sighted foreign policy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and now successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, bilateral relations with various countries around the world have reached a qualitatively new level, demonstrating a high degree of mutual trust. A striking example of this is the Turkmen-Austrian partnership, built on the immutable principles of equality, mutual respect, and long-term sustainability.

The political and diplomatic dialogue between Ashgabat and Vienna is characterised by regular contacts at various levels. The Republic of Austria consistently supports the constructive international initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at ensuring global security, energy sustainability and the development of transport corridors. At the same time, the Austrian side particularly emphasizes the role of our independent, neutral Fatherland in strengthening stability in the Central Asian region.

The key mechanism for diversifying economic partnership is the activities of the Joint Turkmen-Austrian Commission. Its regular meetings allow for a detailed analysis of the implementation of agreements reached, identifying promising areas in trade, finance, and investment, and creating a favourable environment for establishing direct business ties between representatives of the businesses of two countries.

The industrial sector of Turkmenistan is highly interested in attracting technological innovations from Austria, which has extensive experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. Austrian companies are actively involved in large-scale urban development and industrial projects, implementing cutting-edge technological solutions that fully comply with international quality and environmental safety standards.

The transport and communications sector is a strategic priority for bilateral cooperation. In the context of the revival of the Great Silk Road and the development of transcontinental routes along the East–West line, the expertise of Austrian partners in managing logistics centres and railway infrastructure is of particular importance for the development of Turkmenistan as a major transport hub in Eurasia.

The agenda includes a special focus on issues of interaction in the energy sector and the transition to a «green» economy. Given commitment of Turkmenistan to greening its fuel and energy sector, partnerships in implementing renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions open up broad horizons for joint action for a sustainable future.

The Turkmen-Austrian society plays a key role in the spiritual rapprochement of the two peoples and the intensification of intercultural dialogue. Regularly holding Culture days, thematic exhibitions, and creative meetings promotes a deeper understanding of rich heritage of the each other, strengthening the bridges of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Austria.

Musical diplomacy has become a true «calling card» of bilateral relations, as evidenced by the traditional Viennese balls held in our country. Performances by the joint creative group, the Turkmen-Austrian symphony orchestra «Galkynyş», demonstrate the unique harmony of national musical schools, affirming art as a universal language of peace and good neighbourliness.

Scientific and educational cooperation is also being systematically strengthened. Establishing direct contacts between leading universities, conducting joint seminars, and conducting specialist exchange programs allow for the integration of advanced European methods into the education system of Turkmenistan, ensuring the training of a new generation of specialists for high-tech sectors of the economy.

Turkmenistan and Austria confirm their firm commitment to further expand their long-standing, multifaceted cooperation. In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, this traditional partnership, based on a solid foundation of friendship and creative potential, is aimed at achieving new high results in the name of the well-being and prosperity of the two countries and peoples.
