The past week was marked with a number of important events that testify to a growing dynamics of international cooperation of Turkmenistan, efficiency of the economic strategy initiated by Hero-Arkadag and consistently realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at progressive development of our fatherland, increase of standards of living of people, who aspire to celebrate with new labour achievements aspires to celebrate the 35^th anniversary of independence of our fatherland in the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged racers».

On May 11, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting, at which issues of development of the agricultural complex of the country and the course of seasonal work in regions were considered.

The main attention was given to realisation of measures to provide care of cotton and wheat fields according to agro-technical standards, preparation for the grain-harvesting season, gathering of early crops of spring potato, fruits and vegetables and their delivery to the population, manufacture of cocoons, and produce of lambs and camel youngs.

On May 11, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Political Affairs to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, as well as the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petronas, Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik, and the company’s Chief Production Officer, Executive Vice President, and CEO of Exploration and Production, Mohd Jukris Abdul Wahab.

During the meeting, guests conveyed to Serdar Berdimuhamedov of words of greeting from Supreme Governor of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister of the country Anwar Ibrahim.

As was marked, this year, the 30^th anniversary of bilateral cooperation will be marked. For this period, company "Petronas" took an active part in realisation of projects on extraction of hydrocarbon resources in Turkmenistan, development of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian sea and preparation of highly skilled specialists for the oil and gas industry of our country.

Representatives of Malaysia assured that company "Petronas" will carry out its partnership obligations steadily henceforth.

Prospects of further development of constructive cooperation in interests of friendly people of two countries were also discussed during the meeting of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag with Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Political Affairs to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican.

On May 13-14, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation.

Within his visit, the National Leader of the Turkmen people held important meetings from the political point of view and negotiations with officials of the Russian Federation, in which possibilities of the further strengthening of interstate relations on a wide spectrum of areas were considered.

In particular, the telephone conversation of Hero-Arkadag with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on May 13 took place. Issues of the bilateral political agenda, the present condition of economic cooperation and way of its development, and interaction in educational and cultural spheres became the subject of conversation.

The special attention was given to the agenda of the next meeting of the Council of heads of CIS states, which will be held in Turkmenistan in October of the current year.

Besides it, Hero-Arkadag put forward a number of specific proposals concerning the further development of centuries-old cultural contact between peoples of both states.

During the meeting of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov it was underlined that brotherly relations between our people are based on centuries-old affinity of traditions, cultural generality and mutual respect, and regular top-level contacts act as the basis of system interaction.

Am emphasis was made on partnership in such perspective spheres, as digitalization and high technologies, oil and gas branch, industry and transport logistics.

Speaking of the necessity and further strengthening of direct contacts between educational institutions of two countries, Hero-Arkadag expressed expediency to hold the final stage of the competition «Tatar kyzy - 2026» in Ashgabat.

On May 14, Hero-Arkadag took part in the forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on the occasion of the announcement of Kazan as the cultural capital of the Islamic world.

Speaking first before participants of the high meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people thanked Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian side for the invitation to take part in the international events of «KazanForum 2026».

The Chairman Halk Maslakhaty gave detailed and scientifically well-founded characteristic to cultural interaction between the states of the Islamic world and suggested to start development of a long-term strategy of the General Conference of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) on preservation and enrichment of the cultural-historical heritage of the Islamic countries through creation of literary and popular works, products of cinematography, virtual museums, galleries and other Internet platforms of wide availability.

The purpose of other project - the large-scale program «Islamic poetic dialogue: wisdom and communication of centuries» is a wide system acquaintance of world community with the best products of Islamic poetic and philosophical heritage. As the first step, it was proposed to create «World anthology of Islamic poetry».

The separate attention was given to the development of the concept of the Diplomacy of "smart" cities of the Islamic world. Based on the successful experience of our country in the field, Hero-Arkadag suggested to adjust partnership and professional mechanisms of exchange of experience, knowledge, practices and plans in the given perspective segment.

The decision on joining of Turkmenistan ICESCO in the status of an observer became a significant moment of the visit, and the statement of the head of the given Organization Salim Al Malik for the work beginning under the announcement of Ashgabat as the cultural capital of the countries of the Islamic world in 2028 sounded.

Within his visit, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov together with Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the International equestrian sports complex "Kazan" where he familiarised with the advanced experience of development of horse-breeding branch.

The honoured guest and the head of Tatarstan examined a large-scale exhibition of agricultural produces and observed jumps, in which Turkmen masters-jockeys on racers of the Tatar breed, again confirmed the prestige of national school of riding in the world.

Within the framework of «KazanForum 2026» in the city of Kazan the exhibition «Russia- the Islamic world: EXPO cooperation», at which the national pavilion of Turkmenistan was also presented, was also held.

The exposition of our country showed successes of the oil and gas sector, chemical industry, food and textile branches, achievements in electronic industry and manufacture of building materials, transport-communication sphere, public health services and tourism.

Visitors also could estimate the rich variety of Turkmen national costumes within the festival «Fashion of national costumes of women of the Muslim world».

On May 15, President Serdar Berdymuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which a number of issues of state life were considered.

Among them - work of the Mejlis on the further perfection of the legislative framework of our fatherland. As was informed, at present, on the basis of the proposals arriving from ministries and branch departments, respective amendments are made in Codes of Arbitration Procedure, Labour, Sanitary, Family, Housing of Turkmenistan, and in Laws of Turkmenistan «On conscription and military service», «On administrative procedure» and «On court».

For consideration of the head of the state a number of the proposals, concerning the perfection of the national system of standardization, improvement of the material and technical basis of "Türkmengeologiýa" State Corporation, strengthening of the legislative basis of the publishing sphere, activity of the agrarian branch, maintenance of uninterrupted technical support presented to the grain-harvesting season were submitted.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved proposals on preparation for celebrations on the occasion of the completion of the academic year 2025-2026 and ceremony «Last bell», celebration of the 145^th anniversary of Ashgabat city and participation of Turkmenistan in the International horticultural exhibition «Green EXPO-2027» which will be held in the city of Yokohama (Japan) from March 19 to September 26, 2027 under the motto «The landscape of the future for happiness».

Results of the visit of Hero-Arkadag to the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, the current year, which took place on May 13-14 and preparation for the next session of heads of the governments of the Commonwealth of Independent States which is planned to organise in Ashgabat on May 22 of the current year became separate themes of the session.

In the past week, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on a high level of organization of the given session according to the Plan of measures on realisation of the Concept of presidency of Turkmenistan in the CIS in 2026.

In the past week, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag at the invitation of the royal family visited the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Northern Ireland.

In the Windsor castle, Hero-Arkadag met the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Northern Ireland Charles III. The British monarch with warmth remembered the last meeting in the Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial of the Republic of Turkiye, held in March 2015, and visit of the head of the Turkmen state to Great Britain in 2023 and pointed out that the issues discussed during these meetings gave a new impulse to closer interstate cooperation.

King Charles III also noticed that participation of Vice President for therapeutic activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship O.Atabayeva in the Turkmen delegation is accepted as a sign of deep respect for the British people, and named the present event historically significant.

Within the visit, the National Leader of the Turkmen people met Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh and his wife Sophie Helen who expressed sincere admiration of noble racers from Turkmenistan and gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for the historical contribution to development and support of horse breeding in the world.

Prince Edward also had a talk with O. Atabayeva, Vice-President of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who spoke about the scientifically-based application of hippotherapy using Akhal-teke horses for the rehabilitation of children with disabilities and marked the importance of the further bilateral cooperation in the given sphere.

Hero-Arkadag also became the spectator of the prestigious horse-racing performance developed in the territory of the Windsor Castle and familiarised with the exhibition of the works of art of beauty of "heavenly" racers developed there, and met the chief of the State frontier service of the Azerbaijan Republic Elchin Guliev who conveyed to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev warm words of greeting.

Among other events of the past week - III international competition «International relations: culture of peaceful dialogue» held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The creative competition organised by IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, united participants from nine countries: the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Georgia, the People’s Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Islamic Republic of Iran. For participation in the competition, more than 40 foreign representatives from 13 leading higher educational schools were registered. 117 talented students also took part in it from higher educational institutions of our fatherland.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan became a venue of the international exhibition «Agro Pack Turkmenistan - 2026». The review not only displayed achievements of our country in the agrarian sector, but also visually opened enormous potential of the business structures occupying active positions in this branch.

Within the review, a number of presentations, in which the parties exchanged opinions on introduction of innovations in manufacture and attraction of capital investments took place.

At the international film festival «Turan», held in the city of Izmir of the Republic of Türkiye, prestigious awards for the pictures, which were made by the Oguzhan Türkmenfilm Association of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and «Mahabat» Management were presented. In particular, the film by Batyr Batyrov «Ýeňişli ädimler» won the nomination «The best feature film», the film «Mähir terbiýesi» by Mekan Gurbanaliev - in the nomination «The best short-footage film». Rovshen Velmiev received the special prize of the jury for his animated film «Meniň oýnum».

On the agenda of the 84^th international meeting of member states of the Council for Railway Transport of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which took place in Ashgabat, issues of coordination of work at the interstate level, maintenance of technological integrity of the international railway system, and its development in modern conditions were discussed.

Within the meeting, the II forum «Young railwaymen» in which the key place was occupied with educational discussions.

At the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan in the hybrid format the international scientific conference «Chemistry and chemical technologies: achievements and development prospects» was held. Along with scientists, professors and teachers of our country, specialists from Kazakhstan, China, Switzerland, Russia, Japan and Uzbekistan also took part in the forum online.

In Ashgabat, in the recreation park "Tashkent", celebration of Turkmen horse breeders and equestrians thanks to whom Akhal-teke horses have been awarded honourable titles «Champion of Asia» and "World champion", and other awards in competitions in equestrian sports and in the international beauty contest among Akhal-teke horses «The Pearl of the East», recently held in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent city was organized.

At the same time, festive events were held in the park "Ashgabat" in Tashkent city. Cultural actions in capital parks of two friendly states became a symbol of the further strengthening of bonds of friendship and brotherhood of our people.

Once again having reflected the success of the policy realised by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, events of the past week mentioned all spheres of life of the state and society and confirmed priority of such areas as augmentation of the economic potential of the country, promotion of mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners, adherence to nation cultural wealth, maintenance of well-being of our people.
