Turkmen national team is the second in total team count of two large jujitsu tournaments in Thailand

Two large international jujitsu tournaments – The Grand Slam and Junior and Adults World Cup, finished in Bangkok. The performance of our compatriots was a triumph and collection of national sport achievements was supplemented by 44 medals – 11gold, 18 silver and 15 bronze. This result brought Turkmen team to the second place in total team count. Few hundred wrestlers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Jordan, Tunisia, Vietnam and other countries arrived to Bangkok for participation in the tournaments. The competitions were held in three disciplines – the fights and two performances - «ne-waza» and «duo». Kemal Meredov, Myrat Gimmiyev, Dovran Myradov, Nasibjan Izbasarov, Maral Ovezgeldiyeva, Yalkym Nuriyev, Jelilmuhammed Hojamyradov, Gulbahar Madreyimova, Angelina Philppova, Sabina Agajanova and Leyla Kuliyeva of Turkmen national team were the best and won gold.
