Within the working visit to the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan’s delegation participated in the regular, 10th session of the Intergovernmental Turkmenistan–Russia Commission for Economic Cooperation, that took place in Moscow 20-21 February. At the meeting, the state of bilateral commercial, economic ties and cultural, humanitarian relations was analyzed; priority development vectors outlined; and most promising areas of cooperation identified. After the meeting, several documents were signed, including the relevant Protocol and the Program of Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for 2017-2019; and the Plan for the implementation of this program was approved. During the visit, members of Turkmenistan’s delegation had a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, D.Medvedev, where the Russian side confirmed their readiness to further deepen interstate relations. Talks were also organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, after which the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for 2017 was signed.
