Today, a youth awareness raising event has been organized in the capital under the motto “A healthy society - the powerful state”, based on such themes as a healthy way of life and struggle against drugs and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs across the world which is the global problem of mankind. A meeting has been organized by the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Mahtumkuli. As was reported, planetary scale preventive measure are taken to fight this evil, including public awareness-raising activities, primarily among young people in order to prevent the younger generation from addictions and harmful habits. Law enforcement agencies, medical institutions, public organizations, educational institutions and the media take active part in the community outreach. Programs have been adopted, and are implemented to fight against drugs and eradicate this topical global-scale problem, as well as to promote the healthy lifestyle principles.
