The first passengers to pass through the new railway bridge across the Amu Darya were the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The train set off via a new pass Turkmenabat-Farab to the right bank of the Amu Darya after the opening ceremony of the bridge, in which the Heads of two neighboring states took part. Along the road, the leaders of the two states observed an ethnographic composition - an improvised Turkmen village, which, in a large panorama, has presented the richness of national traditions. The new railway bridge with the length of 1750 meters has great geopolitical, economic and social significance for Lebap velayat, Turkmenistan in general and its neighboring countries. The structures with increased seismic stability and operational strength with the calculation for superheavy freight trains were used. When creating an engineering structure, climatic, soil, engineering-geological, hydrological and tectonic conditions of the terrain and the temperature regime have been taken into account. On the right bank of the Amu Darya, the Heads of States will take part in the opening ceremony of another new overpass through Amu Darya – Turkmenabad-Farab automobile bridge.
