The Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan developed the plan to train specialists, within the country and abroad, who will work at the 1574 MW combined cycle power plant that is being constructed at Mary Hydropower Plant, as well as to send them to Europe to study the best practices. This February the delegation from the Mary State Power Plant was on a business trip in France, Switzerland and Italy. The members of Turkmen delegation visited the gas turbine manufacturing plant, the training center, and were introduced to production technologies and specifics of turbine work. In addition, they visited the turbine blades manufacturing plant; the facility for production and maintenance of gas turbines and generator rotors; and the combined cycle power plant similar to the first ever Mary-3 power plant being built in Turkmenistan. The phased implementation of the special training program is also envisaged to train professionals for the new facility.
