One of the key areas of the Turkmen-Qatar relations is cooperation in the field of transport, in particular, the development of sea and air communications, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov outlined. At the Turkmen-Qatar talks at the highest level in Doha, the importance of the initiative to create international transport and transit corridors that would contribute to the further development of economic relations between the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East was noted. Now the implementation of the largest project - the construction of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port - is being completed in the Caspian Sea. In this regard, the Turkmen side invites large transport and logistics companies of Qatar having vast experience in this field to work together. Turkmenistan sets the transformation of the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port into a major transport and logistics system as one of its objectives. That is why the country is interested in studying the rich experience of Qatari companies in this field.
