Ashgabat–Turkmenbashi high-speed motorway will begin at the 24th kilometer of Ashgabat–Dashoguz highway, and run through Gokdepe and Baharly districts in Ahal province, as well as through Serdar, Bereket and Turkmenbashi districts and the city of Balkanabat in Balkan province. 7 junctions; gas stations; recreational centers; shops; restaurants, indoor and outdoor parking lots; hotels; technical maintenance centers; highway bridges over the Karakum River and railroads; anti-flooding and drainage canals will be designed and constructed along the highway. Construction of Ashgabat–Turkmenbashi high-speed motorway will help increase the quality of logistics services; expand the international transit and transportation infrastructure; increase the trade turnover between neighboring countries; and boost export and transit of goods given the potential of Turkmenbashi International Seaport. This project will be the first of this kind to be implemented in Turkmenistan. Among other infrastructure projects currently being executed by road construction enterprises, is construction of the highway bridge over the Tejen River in Saragt. Traffic capacity of the 96-meter-long and 15-meter-wide bridge will be 2000 vehicles per day. At the current stage, supports of the bridge are fully ready, and concrete blocks are being laid upon them. The construction of a 500-meter-long motor road on both sides of the object is also underway. Capital improvement of the 105-kilometer-long Tejen – Ashgabat highway is advancing rapidly.
