The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme-Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, signed the Decree on military discharge from the Armed Forces and other branches of the military of Turkmenistan of servicemen doing compulsory military service, and the regular conscription for the citizens of Turkmenistan. The Decree enacts to discharge in April-June 2017 the servicemen doing compulsory military service, and conscript during the same period the male citizens of Turkmenistan who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription and do not have the right to deferment; and older citizens who forfeited their right to deferment.
