Oguzkhan Palace Complex in Ashgabat hosts the negotiations between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Presdient of Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. After high-level meeting in one-on-one format, the talks were continued in extended composition with participation of the members of official delegations of two countries. Turkmenistan considers Belarus as an important political partner both in bilateral cooperation as well as under international organizations. Both states have full understanding on key global issues. The countries are staunch advocates of consolidation and support of peace, stability and security, improvement of the role of the United Nations, compliance with universal international legal standards, assertion of equality, respect and justice in the world’s affairs. This subject is very urgent today on the background of well known events in umber of the regions of the planet. Turkmenistan and Belarusian approaches to them are based on strict compliance to international legal standards and the UN Charter. Our countries have common belief that international and internal conflicts have to be resolved by peaceful, political and diplomatic measures only. The sides confirmed the willingness to render comprehensive support to peace-making processes. Turkmenistan and Belarus have big experience of cooperation under competent international organizations, first, under the United Nations, the organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States.
