Speaking during opening ceremony of the ore-dressing and processing complex in Garlyk, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the strategic importance of the new enterprise in line with the chemical industry development – one of the priority sectors of the national economy. Emphasizing the necessity to efficiently use local raw materials, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the ore-dressing and processing complex in Garlyk with the annual capacity of 1.400 million tons of potassium chloride exemplified the successful implementation of investment projects aimed at increasing production volumes and widening the range of high-quality mineral fertilizers. The Turkmen leader noted that the largest complex had laid the foundation for creating new area of development of the national industry - mining and chemical sphere. “The high-tech industrial enterprise includes underground and ground facilities. The potash ore production will be fully mechanized. Potash ore will be processed in compliance with the world quality standards into a mineral fertilizer - potassium chloride. “The annual project capacity of the complex - 600.000 tons of granulated product and 800.000 tons of fine-graded product will not only satisfy Turkmenistan’s internal demands in potassium fertilizers but also to significantly increase their export volumes. “The enterprise is supplied with production equipment manufactured by the world leading producers in Germany, the UK, the US, Russia and Belarus. The special programme was developed and implemented to train higher education professionals, technologists and workers. Speaking about the project significance in the context of the social and economic development of the regions, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that due to putting the new complex into operation, more than 1600 new jobs had been created and the living standards of people in Lebap Velayat would be increased. The Turkmen leader emphasized that the rapid growth of the national economy would guarantee the abundance and happy life of people in Turkmenistan as well as the successful implementation of the programmes of development of all branches of the national economy, including chemical industry. Congratulating all those present on opening the ore-dressing and processing complex in Garlyk, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that this largest industrial facility vividly illustrated the efficient partnership of Turkmenistan and Belarus in the economic sphere.
