«Asian Games 2017: International Sport Cooperation for Peace and Progress” Congress started work in Avaza with participation of the President of Turkmenistan. The organizers of the event are the Executive Committee for Preparation to V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Representative forum that gathered the delegates of participating countries of V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, leaders of Asian Olympic Committees, international sport federations and organizations, honourable guests – famous political figures, is timed to the World’s Health Day. The importance of the coming Asian Games in Ashgabat for national sport and international cooperation, from the complex of social and economic measures up to realization of peace-making strategy of Turkmenistan in regional and global scales, will be reviewed during the congress.
