President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, received renowned American professional golfer, James Nicklaus, who established his own company, Nicklaus Design, upon retirement from professional sports. At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in the sphere of sports. Speaking in praise of our country’s success in physical training and sports, CEO of Nicklaus Design confirmed the company’s readiness to continue rendering comprehensive support to the development of such a globally popular sport as golf in Turkmenistan. The head of state was briefed on ongoing works in this area, specifically on promoting the project of construction of a golf court in Turkmenistan’s capital in compliance with the world-class requirements for hosting competitions in this sport The businessman carefully listened to the recommendations and proposals from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and expressed his assurances that all requirements of the Turkmen side will be certainly considered, and Nicklaus Design will make maximum effort to fulfil their commitments.
