Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan came out with unified positions on key issues of the global agenda. This was stated in Astana by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a state visit in Kazakhstan. Speaking at the talks in the extended composition of the delegations, the Turkmen Leader stressed that the content of the Turkmen-Kazakh relations is conditioned by full mutual understanding, both in views on the priorities and prospects of the bilateral partnership, and on the tendency of regional and international development. Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have a common vision for preserving and maintaining universal peace and stability, countering the threats of international terrorism, extremism, and on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the Kazakh side for the support and co-authorship of the UN General Assembly Resolution on the proclamation of December 12th as the International Day of Neutrality. This practice meets bilateral interests, and corresponds to the long-term goals of the world community to strengthen the architecture of universal security.
