The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan gave an official dinner in honour of distinguished Turkmen guest at the Akorda Palace. The leaders of the two states exchanged speeches at the official reception. Underlining the outstanding contribution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the development of friendly, good-neighbourly relations between the two states, enhancement of the fraternal ties between the two peoples as well as maintenance of peace and harmony in the world and promotion of fruitful international cooperation, the President of Kazakhstan announced the decision to present the high state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Order of Dostyk 1-st class to the President of Turkmenistan. To the applause of all those present, President Nursultan Nazarbayev presented the high honorary award to the President of Turkmenistan. Expressing sincere gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the honour, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted that he considers this fact as the acknowledgement of the strong relations of friendship and fraternity between the two countries and high assessment of Turkmenistan’s peaceful neutral foreign policy as well as the award to the whole Turkmen nation.
