President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received congratulations from the Head of National Parliament, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, hyakims of velayats and Ashgabat on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day annually observed in our country on last Sunday of April. Expressing best wishes to the Head of the State on occasion of the coming all-nation holiday, the participants also congratulated the Leader of the Nation with the investiture of the award of International Equestrian Federation – the Cup, Medal and Diploma, for large personal contribution to the development of the equestrian sphere in Turkmenistan. The participants highlighted that award of the certificate of the World Organisation for Animal Health approving the status of our country as a zone free from horse diseases became another international recognition of the scale of activities expanded in modern Turkmenistan by the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the development of horse breeding. As for today, Turkmenistan is the only country in the Central Asia that has such significant status. This decision is an evidence of high international authority of Turkmenistan, sign of trust and the recognition of undisputable success in horse breeding and veterinary medicine. Congratulating the Leader of the nation on the Turkmen Horse Day and these remarkable events, the participants wished him string health, happiness and new impressive successes in realization of large-scale reforms. Having expressed the gratitude for warm words and congratulations, the Head of the State made special mention of the Holiday that is traditionally widely and solemnly observed in our country and involves more foreign guests to participation every year. Mentioning growing interest of the world’s community to Turkmen horses, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that owing to the work expanded in the country for protection and improvement of unique cultural heritage of the nation, the glory of legendary ahalteke horses, which have always been and remains the matter of special pride and inspiration, the wings of the soul of Turkmen people and its priceless heritage, is revived. The fame of ahalteke horses is spread around the planet what is indicated by inclusion of the show jumping, the popular equestrian sport, into the programme of coming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which symbol bears the image of ahalteke horses. - I am sincerely proud that today, ahalteke horses are by right recognized as a crown of the world’s horse breeding, living monument and consummate masterpiece of our talented selectionists who brought up the horses of striking endurance and speed, - the Head of the State said. Having one more time expressed the gratitude to the participants for sincere congratulations, the Leader of the Nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed his best wishes to honourable horse breeders and all people of Turkmenistan.
