The stands were full with numerous connoisseurs of ahalteke horses. There were delegates of international forums, which annually bring together the equestrian specialists and experts in Ashgabat, like VII session of International Ahalteke Horse Association, International Exhibition and Fair and International IX International Scientific Conference “Turkmen Horse and the World’s Art of Horse Breeding” timed to the Turkmen Horse Day. The equestrian sport is the only sport discipline where human competes together with animal. This sport received active development in our country owing to the fact that the art of horse and fancy riding in Turkmenistan have thousands years of history and rich traditions. Breath-taking competition of fast horses, held by Turkmens from time primordial, became the symbol of succession of centuries-old traditions of our wise ancestors as this is not only the review of the best representatives of unique ahalteke breed made by national selectionists together with mighty nature but also an anthem song to striking beauty that harmonically combines with unique speed and endurance. It is long and hard work to bring up real racer. This subject of our skilful ancestors is currently mastered with the interest by growing generation. Young jockeys are taught to understand the horse and to find common language from the beginning for making best friends. And only after that they are trained to ride the horse. The excitement and bright emotional palette, which is so common for this favourite sport, is followed by real aesthetic pleasure. And young generation of Turkmen jockeys demonstrated their skills in different distance races, the winners of which were ceremonially awarded with valuable prizes. Turkmen ancestors were at the beginning of great equestrian culture, which glory spread around the world. Thoroughly selecting young animals and protecting them from the crossbreeding, our ancestors created special type of beautiful horse and rich Turkmen land become the cradle of the best horse of all times and nations, which made great influence on formation of the most famous horse breeds in the world. The racers are undoubtedly one of the bright and spectacular national sports. Owing to the races, fast and strong Turkmen horses have always been well trained and ready for long marches. This was a good school of the mastery multiplied by the courage of the rider. In our days, the equestrian sport is very popular in Turkmenistan and what is more important, owing to this, more and more young people continue the traditions of their fathers dedicating their lives to beautiful ahalteke horses. Young jockeys races in International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex serve to the continuation of centuries-old glorious traditions of national horse breeding. Foreign guests, the participants of ceremonial events on occasion of the Turkmen Horse Day, was able to see it with their own eyes. After the review of International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex, which was put in operation one year ago and designed for 600 horses, and familiarization with the work arranged there, the guests visited modern exemplary village Aba Annayev. The village, which is actually a cottage estate, was built specially for horse breeders and other specialists of International Ahalteke Equestrian Complex. There is everything for comfortable living by urban standards in well-appointed houses. In the evening, the ceremonial hall of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan hosted the closing ceremony of International Exhibition and Fair and IX International Scientific Conference “Turkmen Horse and the World’s Art of Horse Breeding”.
