Ahalteke horses are primordial priceless value of the nation and by right is considered to be the elite in the world’s horse breeding. In the ancient times, the news on wonderful horses with imposing stature and unusually sensitive character went around the world, - the message of the Head of the State says. Our people, whose history is covered with heroic glory, made special decoration dressing incomparable horses, which even today arise the admiration all over the world, in stylish harness. The tradition of skilful masters of the past is deservingly continued by modern jewellers. Fancy riding, the tricks on galloping horse, daringly performed by skilful horsemen at national celebrations, rise indescribable delight of Turkmen citizens and foreign spectators. The State makes all conditions for further development of horse-breeding and equestrian sports. International cooperation in this field is also expanded. The construction of modern equestrian complexes meeting international standards in all velayats, opening of new living estate with high comfort houses built in beautiful Kopetdag valley for personnel of the branch are the events giving new impulse to the flowering of equestrian art. We pay special attention to provision of this sphere with high-class specialists. For this purpose, we establish special centres for training of professional horse breeders, coaches and jockeys. I am firmly confident that open riding ground built in Ashgabat equestrian Complex for show jumping competitions will give large opportunities for further development of equestrian sports in our country. The programme of the coming V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games includes show juming competitions as well what will promote the growth of popularity of equestrian sports among the youth and the growth of glory of Turkmen horses. Our horse breeders carry out large work for protection of the purity of the legendary horses, improvement of their conformation and increase of the livestock. We will continue paying large attention to further development of horse breeding and equestrian sports, mutual exchange of experience in this sphere with foreign specialists, improvement of working and living conditions of the personnel of this branch, - the message of the President highlights.
