As is known, First Global Sustainable Transport Conference was held under the UN aegis in Ashgabat in November 2016. Lively share of the visions on number of topical issues, in particular on establishment of organizational and legal framework of international transport organization under formation of global transport and transit infrastructure, was held during the forum, - the message of the Head of the State says. The participants of the conference also discussed the subjects related to modern condition and prospects of the development of air, automobile, railway and maritime transport, attraction of the investments to the main and auxiliary branch infrastructure, implementation of innovations in this sphere, environmental protection and ecological security. All of these indicates that Turkmenistan became another leading state in transport and logistic sphere. At present moment, our country performs steadfast work for expansion of transport infrastructure and implementation of the projects for establishment of transport corridors, - the massage says. Ashgabat International Airport, the main air harbour of Turkmenistan, was put into operation in 2016. This modern facility will be large transit point on continental and intercontinental air routes. Today, Turkmenistan confidently enters the world’s market with the proposals of required transport and logistic services. The country undertakes steadfast work for improvement of the activity of transport sphere and integration into international transport infrastructure and these measures will be highly appreciated by international organizations. I think that the forum, held in Avaza National tourist zone, will promote defining prospects of development of this sphere under the UN goals of sustainable development until 2030, - the message of the President highlights.
