The issues of preparation for participation in the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017, to be held from June 10 to September 10 in Astana, were discussed at a meeting of a Cabinet of Ministers on May 5. Having considered a number of the proposed options, the Turkmen Leader approved as the motto of the national exposition the slogan “Nature is the source of eternal energy”, and one of the variants of the emblem. As the head of state noted, the main goal of the country’s participation in the international exhibition is not only to reflect the main theme of the forum – “Energy of the Future”, but also to create a bright, impressive image of modern Turkmenistan at “EXPO-2017”. The national day of Turkmenistan at Expo-2017 is scheduled to be held on June 29. The exposition will reflect the main areas of the policy of the independent neutral state, its economic achievements, natural resources, the successes of social development, the culture and traditions of the Turkmen people, as well as the tourist potential of our region, and environmental protection activities. In addition, the exhibition will provide an excellent opportunity for wide public familiarization with the project “Ashgabat-2017” and the popularization of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
