After the talks between the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the ceremony of signing of bilateral documents took place in the Avaza Congress Center. In the presence of the heads of state, state representatives have signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and Uzbekenergo Joint-Stock Company on transit and transmission of electricity; Agreement between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Environmental Protection and Land Resources and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection on cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development; Protocol between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Sport and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Physical Culture and Sport on cooperation, as well as organizing the participation of Uzbek athletes in the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games; Memorandum of Cooperation between ""Turkmenhovayollary"" Service and National airlines ""Uzbekiston hawo ýullari""; Memorandum of Understanding between the State Concern ""Turkmennebit"" and the National Holding Company ""Uzbeknefitgaz"". The parties also concluded an agreement on the establishment of twinning relations between the cities of Ashgabat and Tashkent and the Agreement on Cooperation between Seyitnazar Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute and Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami. After the ceremony of signing if abovementioned documents, the leaders of the two countries addressed the representatives of mass media.
