Special mention was made of ongoing preparations for the Ashgabat Energy Charter Conference entitled “Towards a Multilateral Framework Agreement on Transit of Energy Resources” to be held in late May. The high-level representative conference is aimed to continue the international dialogue in the strategic area such as formation of the new global energy security architecture, an integral factor for universal sustainable development. The congress attendees were taken on a tour to the settlement of Kiyanly on the Caspian Sea coast to get acquainted with the construction progress of the region’s biggest gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene.
