President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of some members of the government, heads of some departments, Ashgabat Khyakim to consider issues, related to the country’s socio-economic development, agricultural work, preparation for the regular Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan and the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Cabinet Deputy Chairman E. Orazgeldiev and Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources of the country N. Sapardurdyev informed about the work on AIC efficiency upgrading and measures to increase the rate of grain harvesting campaign, mowing-time conduction within the optimum time periods and without losses, and also ensure qualitative cotton management. The President of Turkmenistan demanded to have control over the issues of the agricultural industries improvement, ordered to provide the harvesting as scheduled, make timely payments to tenants-growers. As the country’s President noted, priority should be given to ramp-up of vegetable, melons and fruit crops production. We need to actively engage enterprising farmers, representatives of private business in the horticultural sector. Cabinet Deputy Chairman O.Gurbannazarov reported on steps to improve the shopping complex activities, increase the service culture and quality of services, and to foster entrepreneurship. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov ordered to keep under constant control the issues of food abundance in the country’s markets. A special role in the solution of the mentioned tasks is given to the private business. Cabinet Deputy Chairman B. Hojamammedov reported on the activities of financial institutions in the context of preparations for the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, and the forthcoming holidays. Measures for target program budgeting, timely payments to growers, maintenance of the highest level of celebrations on the occasion of significant dates were in the focus of the report made by Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan A. Annadurdyev. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov instructed to make a comprehensive approach to problem solving, designed to ensure stable and balanced development of the national economy in conditions of transition to market relations. Cabinet Deputy Chairman D. Amangeldiev concentrated on the preparations for the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, the program of events, dedicated to the upcoming holidays. As mentioned, priority is given to upgrading the road and transport facilities: highways are being reconstructed, new parking places, bus stops, road junctions are being erected. Ashgabat Khyakim Sh.Durdylyev reported on architectural appearance improvement measures, reconstruction of facades and beautification of streets, and expansion of park areas. The President of Turkmenistan pointed out the necessity for acceleration in the rates of transformations in the construction, energy and municipal, road and other sectors, pointing the importance to monitor the preparations for the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. Cabinet Deputy Chairman M.Aidogdyev reported on the country’s accelerated industrialization, number, development of the chemical industry, textile industry, fishery, production of building materials. Minister of Textile Industry of the country N. Gailyev reported on the work on expanding capacities and export potential of the industry, measures for the manufacture of sportswear, textile and souvenir products with the symbols of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov emphasized that the establishment of joint state-private enterprises would promote the production expansion, import substitution and extension of export opportunities. The head of state also gave a number of instructions, concerning the development of new kinds of productions in the textile industry. The Chairman of the country’s Supreme Control Chamber Ya.Gylyjov reported on the fulfillment of instructions on the activity analysis of the various sectors of the national economy. President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov once again focused attendees’ attention on the need to ensure the highest level of preparation and conduction of the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, as well as the regular Elders’ Council of the country and celebrations in honor of the holiday of Turkmenistan’s independence.
