The State Customs Service hosted a meeting on the issues of fulfilling the country’s transport and transit potential in a context of the tasks set by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov during an on-site meeting of the State Security Council on June 20. As was reported, defining the important objectives of the relevant services in this area, the head of state stressed that Turkmenistan as the initiator of major projects in the field of transport makes a significant contribution to the efforts to form the architecture of a new geo-economic and geo-transport space. The meeting attendees informed on the steps taken to implement the specified by the head of state comprehensive measures on radical modernization and development of the transport infrastructure, having assured that they would do their best to successfully fulfill the objectives aimed at the country’s sustainable socio-economic development.
