President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Chief of the Russian Federation’s Government Staff Sergey Prikhodko. The guest passed on greetings to the head of Turkmenistan from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who had sent their wishes of peace and well-being to the nation’s leader and their entire Turkmen nation. Sergei Prikhodko extended good wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for his birthday, having wished him good health and more success ahead in his responsible state activity. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation congratulated the Turkmen leader on being presented with a high State Award of the Russian Federation – The Order of Alexander Nevsky for his big personal contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between our countries. Sending his best wishes to the leadership of Russia in return, the President of Turkmenistan was appreciative for the high praise for his work. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for increased cooperation. As noted, Russia highly values the friendly relations with Turkmenistan, and places much importance to deepening the interstate cooperation in the political and diplomatic, trade-economic, and other spheres. The Turkmen leader and his guest spoke for enhancing the bilateral relations in the cultural-humanitarian field, including science, education and sport.
