Today, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has had a telephone talk with President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. The head of the friendly country offered his most heartfelt birthday wishes to the Turkmen leader and sincerely wished excellent health, a long life, and more and more success ahead in his noble endeavors. Thankful for the birthday greetings and kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov noted the fruitful character of the Turkmen-Armenian relations. In the course of the meeting, the heads of Turkmenistan and Armenia discussed priority issues of advancing interstate dialogue in the context of earlier agreements and potentialities for closer cooperation in different areas. The parties emphasized the importance of the upcoming visit by the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia. A number of key issues of bilateral and regional cooperation of mutual interest are expected to be discussed extensively during the visit. Having mentioned that Ashgabat is to host the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games on September 17-27, 2017, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has invited President Serzh Sargsyan to attend the opening ceremony of the big sporting event.
