Turkmenistan was visited by 248 foreign delegations in the first half of 2017. This was stated at the extended meeting of the government by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan R. Meredov. In the course of the report on the implementation of the Concept of the foreign policy course of Turkmenistan for 2017-2023, he said that 404 Turkmen delegations were sent abroad in January-June this year. 134 events of various levels were held in Turkmenistan and abroad, and 105 international documents were signed. 22 meetings were held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the foreign affairs agencies of other countries. Since the beginning of the year, 11 meetings of joint Intergovernmental Commissions, as well as a number of bilateral business forums have been held.
