Parliament of Turkmenistan Reviews Program on Country’s Socio-Economic Development for 2018-2024

The National Parliament of Turkmenistan is preparing for the regular, 22nd, session whose agenda will include several important bills. As mentioned today at the government meeting by the Chair of the National Parliament, A.Nurberdiyeva, the new bills are targeted at creating a legal groundwork for the socio-economic reforms being implemented in the country; the further democratization of the society and the country; and observance of human and civil rights and freedoms. According to the Speaker, the members of the parliament are currently working together with the sectoral ministries and agencies on drafting the State Budget for 2018, and are also discussing the draft Program of the President of Turkmenistan on Socio-economic Development of the Country for 2018-2024.
