Turkmenistan comprehensively supports our southern neighbour Afghanistan to have a peace and stability. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is confident that at the same time, it is only political and diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian mechanisms that can be applied. The course of solution of all issues is to be reviewed during coming 7th Conference of Regional Economic Cooperation for Afghanistan in Ashgabat. Having an active position in revival of Afghanistan, our country made number of important proposals aimed at the elaboration of mutually agreed approaches to the solution of afghan range of problems including by provision of its political space for the negotiations. In this regard, Turkmenistan proposed the initiatives on consolidation of the efforts in the development of principally new mechanisms for stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan, particularly, on the elaboration of long-term programme for restoration of the economy of the country under the UN aegis. Opening of Turkmenistan joint trade chamber in Mazari-Sharif city of Balh Province in Afghanistan were one of the practical steps made by our country for economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Few days ago, the Trade House has opened the doors for the visitors. The project was done by the Union of the Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan together with Afghan private companies with the support of government structures of both countries. Leaders of administration of Balh Province, representatives of the foreign Ministry and other governmental organizations and business circles of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, diplomatic missions and mass media.   After official ceremony the symbolic ribbon was cut and the participants of the event looked at the variety of goods of new shopping centre. The shelves of the shop occupying two floors present various food and industrial goods produced in Turkmenistan. Together with textile, that has very high demand in the world and traditional carpet items with classic ornaments, it includes the goods of new branches of our country, which is successfully developed by Turkmen entrepreneurs. It includes electronic industry, which is formed today under the state programme for import substitution and improvement of export potential. Food production of Turkmen producers also improves its position in external markets. Afghan consumers have appreciated the quality and advantages of the food items supplied for our country. Large variety of confectionary, natural juices, canned fruits and vegetable and other was presented in the shopping complex. These days, Mazari-Sharif held the meeting of Turkmen entrepreneurs with Afghan businessmen where future steps for the development of business contacts and mutual trade turnover, joint forums and exhibitions, informational exchange in economic and investment sphere were reviewed. Specific issues of cooperation were discussed also at the meeting of Turkmen delegation with the leaders of Balh Province.
