Within the framework of the thirtieth anniversary of the Moscow International Book Fair, it was held the awarding ceremony of the CIS International Competition “Art of a Book”. And all four books, sent in by Turkmenistan, were honored the highest awards. This year, 87 publications competed in ten categories for diplomas of the contest “Art of a Book”. Turkmen publishers have repeatedly gained winner diplomas and winning places in individual categories. But never before, the success of representatives of the State Publishing Service of our country was not so impressive. This time, Turkmenistan presented four publications, issued in 2016. And all of them, to reiterate, were honored the highest awards. The book “Turkmenistan”, written by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, took premier place in the nomination “My country”. The “Music of World, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood” is his handiwork as well, took a special diploma of the contest judges. A collective work of the Turkmen linguists – explanatory dictionary of Turkmen language – won in the nomination “Educational literature and education”. For the first time, the Turkmen publication picked up the main prize of the contest in the nomination “Grand Prix”. The book “Vehement tread pace of a steed” by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was honored the award. This work is not for the first time highly praised by experts in the sphere of book-printing craft. Last summer, at the largest Russian forum of printers and publishers “Red Square-2017”, it was awarded a special diploma “The Best book of 2016” for the promotion of national culture identity of Turkmenistan. Award panel felt concern for the inspired narration about one of the main cultural heritage of our people – the Akhalteke horses. Superior printing, combined with a carefully selected descriptive chain made this book a desirable purchase not only for horse-breeding amateurs, but also for all connoisseurs of beauty. Head of the International Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Konstantin Kosachev, special representative of Russian President on international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Executive Director of the Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS states (IFESCCO) Anatoly Iksanov handed out awards to winners.
