The International Day of Older Persons has taken a worthy place in the public life of the country as a special date which plays an important role in the statement of humanistic ideals, - told in his address President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This holiday has incorporated the richest life experience of people generated within millennia, primordial principles of patriotism and philanthropy. In honour of the senior generation whose wise advice and manuals brings a powerful contribution to the strengthening of unity of society, education of youth in the spirit of love for the country and humanism, cultural-mass actions in Ashgabat, in all regions of the country are carried out. Actions in honour of this international holiday encourage our compatriots to achievement of great purposes. According to the realised political policy «state - for people!» we create all necessary conditions for consecutive increase of social level of our people, we achieve wide recognition of Turkmenistan as one of the confidently developing states of the world in political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, - it is underlined in the address. We show great care of each citizen of the country, and especially, of representatives of the senior generation, we create all possibilities for their safe and happy life. In the given context rather remarkable fact is election of Turkmenistan to three structures of Economic and Social Council of the United Nations Organization - the Commission on Science and Technology for Development for 2017-2020, Commission on Population and Development for 2016-2020 and the Commission of Social Development for 2017-2021. Using general respect, elders are our support in realisation of constructive policy and creative initiatives. The merit of the senior generation in strengthening of unity and consolidation of society, youth education is invaluable. With the blessing of elders we start all undertakings and festivals carried out in the country. The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games which were successfully held in Ashgabat, brightly testify to it, it is told in the message. Our wise elders who have gained wide experience in strengthening of peace and consent in the country and each family, our mothers - home support, is a unique school of life, an example for education of the diligent , well-educated youth which highly respects high moral qualities and national traditions. In Turkmen society elders will be invariably surrounded by honour and respect, - it is underlined in the presidential message.
