The state association ""Turkmenhaly"" (""Turkmencarpet"") will be privatized. This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting dedicated to the results of 9 months of 2017. In this regard, the Head of State instructed to hold appropriate tenders, as well as to prepare all necessary documents on the denationalization of the carpet industry. The structure of the State Association ""Turkmenhaly"" includes the enterprises of artistic carpet weaving in various regions of the country, producing factory and handmade carpets with national patterns. Turkmen carpet is one of the famous brands of the country, and is widely known beyond its borders. Denationalization will open new economic opportunities for the industry, and serve its development.
