Speaking at the solemn inaugural ceremony at Ruhyyet Palace after having taken office, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov defined the country’s development strategy and outlined the priorities of social policy.

The Head of the Central Elections Committee informed that there were 2 587 polling stations including 2 548 in the capital and the regions and 39 at diplomatic missions and consulates of Turkmenistan in foreign countries.

President, Supreme Commander in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on pardoning on the occasion of National Flag Day, in accordance with which 828 citizens of the country will be released from further serving the primary and additional punishment.
